KICKFLIP

The kickflip is another basic move in skateboarding, if you can do this trick then you can do other variations and it unlocks a lot more tricks. This trick is one of the hardest and most frustrating tricks to learn and master, and most pros still have problems with them. The foot placement is your back foot the same as an ollie with it on the tail and your toes in the middle of the tail. Your frontfoot is close to the ollie position but your toes are closer to the heel edge, and your foot is at a 45 degree angle. This trick can be done stationary as well as moving.//////////////Step 1: You slam the tail down like a regular ollie and you jump and slide your foot up, but when you slide your foot up you don't just slide it up the middle, it goes out to the heel side. You flick board which makes it spin, the last place your feet should be touching the board when they leave off of it is at that groove right before nose. You have to try spinning it different ways so it spins fast enough,if it goes slow chances are you won't land on the grip tape. You also have to spin the board as your jumping and the board is rising, don't flick it when the board is at it's peek. Also don't kick your front foot too far out or else you won't be able to bring it in, in time to land.///////////Step 2: So now the board is spinning and you have to tuck up your legs at your chest and bring in your front foot back for landing position. Hover above the board and let it spin under you. ////////Step 3: Now you are coming down back to the ground, you want to watch the board and when the grip tape comes around slam your feet onto the board and catch it so it stops rotating. You will catch it with your back foot then put your front foot on it because it takes longer to bring your front foot back in. Absorb the landing and keep your balance and if you did this trick then your good! Just email if any problems -written by justine
