In most pet stores, anoles are treated and kept low standard environments because they are considered "low value stock"
So when people purchase them, they usually are misinformed on the care for the species and go home not knowing what they've gotten into. So the anoles come home from the pet store to a place where the owners are not properly informed how to care for them and they end up back where they started. Out of the oven, into the frying pan. So I am assembling a group of herpetoculturists, keepers, and anole site webmasters to get the right message of anole care to the public. You do not have to be an animal rights activist or a reptile expert. Then I will process your information and keep you updated and possibly send everyone a newsletter. The chat is scheduled at Saturday from 5:00 P.M.-6:00 [U.S. Eastern].
