Worlds Of Fun

As you enter this park, you first see Orient Express hovering above the gingko trees. The park is divided into sections and it based on the book "Around The World In 80 Days" by Jules Verne. This park could use some new coasters and maybe jazz up the theming and add more scenery around the coasters. One of the disappointments of this park was paying 5 dollars to ride the Go Karts, which meant waiting in the hot sun for 20 to 30 minutes with little to no shade. The park has a nice collection of flat rides include a classic "rotor" ride called Finnish Fling, the roaring rapids of Fury Of The Nile, the log flume and Viking Voyager.

Mamba: This 200+ foot coaster can be seen as your getting close to Worlds Of Fun while driving on the highway. This coaster has a massive first drop and a second drop that features lots of floating airtime. The turnaround helix has some very high g forces and an excellent headchopper effect. Then the ride features numerous camelback hills back into the station.
My Rating: 8.5

Timber Wolf: This Dinn and Summers creation was once ranked the #1 roller coaster in the world, but brakes have been added in recent years and the coaster has lost some of it's steam, but is still a pretty fun ride.
My Rating: 7

Orient Express: This was the 2nd coaster with interlocking loops. It has a very nice first drop of 115 feet into the ravine. The rest of the ride is somewhat rough but in my opinion one of the better Arrow Looping coasters.
My Rating: 6.5

Final Comments: A good park to visit with a nice atmosphere, and nice scenery. It also features 2 top 25 coasters according to Amusement Today, Mamba and Timberwolf. A park worth checking out.

Overall Park Rating: 7
