Bored, and not getting much out of practicing? Here's help...
As a dancer...I know that practicing can be a real chore. Personally, I usually find it boring, and have to force myself to do it. But once you make the effort to change into a pair of shorts and lace up your pomps, there are different ways to try and get the most out of the time you have to practice in.

Practice Prep

- Grab a glass of water - or a water bottle.

- Put on your gear (ie. shorts and T-shirt, sports socks, ect.)

- Grab your
ankle weights,
Arm elastic,
shoes and elastics,
music and stereo
Tips for improving your practicing

Grab a new dance CD for interest - after all, dancing to the same reel day after day can be a little tiring.
(*****HINT*****Don't get me wrong...this isn't going to work a miricle, it's just going to relieve the boredom a little)

Video Tape your dancing, then watch it afterwards (sometimes in slow motion) to discover little areas you could improve on, and make more precise.

Buy a mirror and practice infront of it....watch yourself and improve your weaknesses.
(*****HINT*****If possible, mount the mirror on the wall to prevent you from getting in a severe habit of looking down)
