Imperial Paintball Wermstick   

    Werm is in the business of making aftermarket accessories for the Smart Parts Impulse and Shocker, and not only is his product a piece of machining precision, but it is also backed by excellent customer service.  The wermstick is a blade style trigger that is drilled and tapped with set screws that control pre-travel, post-travel, and switch actuation.  The switch actuation set screw is only necessary for glacier boards.  If you have the stock board, you probably will need to remove this screw.  

    Installation is a snap, just beware of those c clips, they have a tendency to launch themselves into orbit, never to be seen again.  Since there is some variances in the production of the impulse, some may find that they need to lightly sand the sides of the trigger to have a smooth fit, which is ok.  The only problem I had when I first installed the trigger was that once I reassembled the grip frame to the solenoid housing and the gun body, the green led stayed on.  After messing with the set screws, I discovered that it is important to set the post travel screw first, I set mine all the way in, then set the pre travel screw.  This positions the rest position of the trigger in a way that allows the switch to turn off.  Make sure to get the tension spring in the grip frame on top of the step on the rear of the trigger, I backed my tension screw all the way out and removed the spring for installation.

    Once it is all setup, the trigger is amazing.  Sweet spotting couldn't be easier, I have to back off sometimes when I max out the ROF.  Although the trigger is pricey, the adjustability and feel make this a worthwhile investment.  Just be sure which trigger you have before ordering, Werm has an explanation on his site, www.wermmods.com
