A Letter From the President of the BWA

After aproximately 3 weeks of hiatus from writing State of the Unions, I have finally returned to write a SOTU that could shock all of you.

For the past 3 weeks, I have been in contact with every BWA wrestler on the cards. They all still have interest in competing for the BWA, however one thing stands in almost all of their ways: school/work/combination of the two. So, I have postponed the show that was originally supposed to take place today, and moved it to 2 weeks from today on the 8th of September! Why? Well, I'll get to that in a moment.

Everything said before about how the decision on Sevin will take place at the show and all of that still stands. The only thing about this show is that WE PRETTY MUCH NEED TO TAPE THIS SHOW!!!! Why do we need to tape the show may you ask? Well, the answer is simple. Look at when this show was ORIGINALLY supposed to take place: JUNE 22nd, 2001!!! Yes, you read right folks, June 22nd!! That means that this show has been delayed for the past 3 months!!!

For the past 3 months, I have heard an almost constant barrage of questions like:

When are we gonna have a show, man?
Dude, we have to have a show!
Uhhh...are we still gonna have a show?
Whats up with the BWA man?
Why haven't we had shows lately?
What the hell is up with not havin' shows?
and everytime, those questions are followed up by comments like:
Man, I can't make it to the show on Friday cuz I have to wash my hair.
Dude, we can't have a show this weekend cuz I stayed up to late last night.
It's too early in the morning!
Well, enough of that! There have been some valid reasons for not being able to go to a show (work, family things, etc.), but with all of the complaining that I am ALWAYS hearing about how we should be having more shows, PEOPLE SHOULD ACTUALLY MAKE THEMSELVES ABLE TO DO THE SHOWS THEN! Normally, I type these SOTUs up and always do them with some fomality, but this time I'm pissed! 3 months of delays???? With 2 of those months being SUMMER VACATION???? I didn't go on vacation this summer at all, and neither did a lot of the wrestlers, so its not our fault that the shows haven't been happening! Don't blame us!

Finally, just to fill you all in, the loyal BWA-ites, the show that was supposed to take place today was pretty much canceled because of Smackdown! tickets going on sale. That's it. And the week before? Talk to the man with the Roman Numeral behind his name. Don't bitch to us. That was none of our faults!

So, have fun, relax, party, and most of all, get ready for two weeks from Saturday on the 8th of September because THE BWA IS COMMIN' BACK!!!!!!!
