Well...it was an amazing year at cobyskill..i'm gonna miss that place like crazy..my running buddies, the friends i made, specially jamie. i got my 800 time down to a 2:03 which is amazing for me..i went to nationals my first real major accomplishment in running to me anyways. other things are going great, i might make honors at brockport. i've learned the most this year then i think i've learned my entire life. most of it was just about how to live life, take it one moment at time, don't look to far ahead because you'll trip on things that happen right under your feet. so much stuff, i think i'm even getting close to figuring out the meaning of life...well the meaning of my life anyways..thats on major step people must discover..there is no universal meaning there is only the one you define. so we'll see if i can conclude anything and if i do, i'll let ya know. i've become a neat freak go figure. i used to not care too much about how clean my room is and now i'm almost obsessive about it. my psychology class tought me alot in the ways of learning and how to better understand the thought processes, and my social problems class was an unlikely education process. i learned in that class how to control a group of people, its amazing how one person like myself was able to control that class and make it work, but more importantly i learned by listening to the people in the class room some of the reasons we have social problems. lol the book isn't always the best teaching tool, sometimes you have to learn from your peers. i'm finally start to fill out, not quite the scrawny boy i used to be..at least now i've got some muscle on deese bones of mine. i'm finally ready for life and i feel like i'm finally a mature respectable and honorable man. not young man or mature boy or something like that but a full grown man. i've been and done things in ways that only a mature male would be capable of. i'm the most responsible person i know...i even take the responsibility for things i didn't do..because i've learned that its not who did what but its a matter of letting the blame lay where it may and just take care of the problem. doesn't matter who broke it, the only thing that matters is who can fix it. anyways thats alot of my new philosophy i've developed. on that note i'll let ya be but just take it from me life is easy but first you've got to make it that way, and that my peeps is where the challenge lies.

Emotion Evident At J-Y Athletic Awards By Fred Stabbert III JEFFERSONVILLE — June 13, 2000 -- It was a night filled with trophies, tales of courage and tears as coaches from Sullivan West Jeffersonville-Youngsville School handed out its top athletic awards Sunday night before a packed house of 400 in the school’s gymnasium. Thanking parents, athletes and administration, coach after coach came to the podium to hand out the top awards in each sport. The highlight of the evening came when the coaches announced the 1999-2000 Most Valuable Senior Male and Female Athletes. Beth Fanning, a star player in basketball, softball and soccer, took home the top female athlete and received her award to a standing ovation. Fanning will be attending Elmira College in the fall, where she will earn a four-year sports scholarship valued at $76,000. She will play soccer and basketball. The Most Valuable Male Athlete went to standout runner Brandon Rose, who lettered in cross country, winter track, spring track and basketball during his high school career. In an emotional speech, Rose accepted the award from his father, coach George Rose, then gave his award to fellow senior Meaghan Mullally for her example as a fearless competitor and terrific athlete. Rose said Mullally’s accomplishments, which included qualifying for states for seven years in a row, were unequaled. Both athletes embraced, then walked back to their seats to a standing ovation. See Friday’s edition for a complete list of outstanding athletes in every sport.
