for competitions and demonstrations at all age and skill levels.
Her classes are very traditional and emphasize both the physical
and mental aspects of the arts.
Tien Shan Pai style Kung-Fu originated in the
Tien Shan mountains of China over 3,000 years ago. Tien Shan
Pai is considered one of the most unique and well-rounded systems
because it embodies so many aspects of the arts. Many of the
carefully guarded techniques were developed by Taoist monks by
observing the natural fighting skills of animals. This style
includes choreographed two man sets, which help to prepare students
for the highest level of self-defense.
At a more advanced level, the Tien Shan Pai
system includes forms such as shaolin, praying mantis, and after
much dedication and practice, weapon forms which help students
develop the acrobatic nature of the arts, while achieving the
highest level of self-control and concentration.
In addition to the Martial or “external” aspects
of Kung-Fu, classes will facilitate the development of extreme
focus, intent and self-control. Kung-Fu helps students to attain
a high level of dedication and discipline while simultaneously
providing a constructive means to use and center their energy.
In addition, it helps students create a total equilibrium between
mind and body. Classes are structured to provide a safe and fun
environment.
Kung-Fu builds self-confidence through a high
level of physical health, a disciplined mind, and the ability
to defend one’s self. Kung-Fu helps students to resist
unhealthy peer group pressures and has been found to combat stress,
ADD and ADHD, depression, and fatigue.
This class will help students:
- Develop extreme focus and intent
- Center energy and create direction and motivation from within
each individual
- Respect and realize preservation of the body and mind
- Achieve a balance necessary to be successful in all aspects
of life
