Some bad news for Ladybug Lovers!! While in England recently I saw and heard reports in the newspaper(s) and on the radio that Ladybugs are in decline! The believed reason for this is that people use too many chemicals on their gardens, and being sensitive creatures Ladybugs will not live in this sort of environment, and thus there has been a recorded decrease in their numbers. The recommendation that scientists have made is to stop using harmful chemicals, and look for environmentally friendly alternatives. There are also several measures you can take to attract Ladybugs into your garden, including planting several different species of plant and building ladybug "houses".
