the eXtreme gospel

"men ought always to pray, and not to faint; ...shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?"
Luke 8:1, 7-8

An inside look at Pensacola Christian College is still available here. The links should work, although I haven't completed all the PCC experience pages. If you can't find the information you need, please e-mail me.

When I started college, I was enthusiastic in my faith. I was going to a Christian college, a time to build my character and values. The school was ok-- a little more outwardly Christian than inwardly, but I knew what I believed... or did I? In my enthusiasm, I trusted too strongly in the strength of 'right ' and in the wisdom of authority rather than focusing on the sacrifice of Christ. It's what we all try to do, no matter where we are. We try to make God into a formula, a ten step program; and when our program fails, we think God has failed.

I came back feeling confused and very out of touch with everyone and everything I used to love-- God, my family, my church, my goals. Nothing seemed to matter anymore. This past year has been a time of regaining my focus and priorities, but I am glad that my enthusiasm is gone. Community college has been a good experience to get real with what I believe and really know God's Word. This site has articles I've written from experience and Bible study. They follow what I consider the greatest lessons I've learned in my Christian walk.

MARCH 12, 2005: i updated the main page today. spring break has come, but the prognosis is 'less time, more money'-- aka, work. and research projects (aka 'less time, less money').

FEBRUARY 18, 2005: i still live. i think. super busy with school and work, but finally got to work on the web page for a few hours. mainly fixing bad links. doesn't that sound like fun? if i get another snatch of time maybe i'll actually do something noticable, like change my background color to hot pink... or not.

OCTOBER 22, 2004: I LIVE!!! yeah, i'm still alive, and just had to let all the millions of people who must have been wondering... yeah, this page is still being expanded. i've been really busy with community college, but i've decided to add a link that i found very interesting and much more in depth about my pet peeve: Christian fads. here's the link on the purpose driven life.
