First there was an acoustic radio show at Lucky 7 at 1pm, my friend Kathryn and I got there, a little early so we could eat too. The show sounded beautiful!! I LOVE acoustic!! There wasn't too much of a crowd and everyone sang along. OLP played 3 songs, Do You Like It, Somewhere Out There, and Innocent. Then the guys left in a hurry.
Then was the actual concert at Nita's Hideaway (THE worst place to have a concert). We got there at like 5pm and waited around outside and other people showed up shortly after. My friend Mike and his GF Tova came and we hung out with them most of the night. The staff started lining people up at 6:45pm and a lot of people cut us in line. This is AZ so it was sunny and about 108 degrees outside. Then they had some stupid ticket offer called fans first. People that bought their tickets later got to go in first (apparently that is the sign of a true fan instead of buying them at 10am the day they go on sale). Anyway they finally let everyone else in at a little before 8pm which is when the show was supposed to start. There were already a lot of people in there so no good spot in the pit for us. I think the show finally started at 8:10pm since they still had technical stuff they were working on. Greenwheel was very good, better than they were in Houston even. It was way to hot in the pit so I had to leave and get some water. Audiovent was next after some more technical work and they rocked! Finally time for OLP after 45 minutes of setting up. Their performance was awesome! There were some sound problems mostly with volume and static, but then not even halfway through the show they lost power and had to play without lights for a while (Nita's sucks). Raine was really frustrated and with the sound problems you could hear them talking onstage and he was just cursing away, which is completely understandable because they put so much work into their shows and then to have technical problems 5 nights in a row I'd be kicking stuff too. Since the show was running so late, they didn't get to play as long. They played (in not really any order) All For You, Do You Like It, Naveed, Is Anybody Home, Mafia, Whatever, One Man Army, Innocent, Supermans Dead, Not Enough, Bring Back the Sun, Life, Clumsy, Are You Sad, Story About a Girl, then they ended with Starseed. Came out for the encore and played Somewhere Out There, and Birdman which was completely awesome!!!! Steve rocked out on the guitar, Jeremy was beating the crap out of the drums, and Duncan was tearing up the bass! Steve played awesome last night, and they were all completely soaked from sweat by the end of the show. After the show Kathryn and I decided we are definitly going to see them in Anaheim and hoprfully there won't be any tech problems.
