Fuel has just officially announced the release of their third album, Natural Selection.
The album is produced by Michael Beinhorn (Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden, Marilyn Manson and Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Carl Bell, and mixed by Andy Wallace (Foo Fighters, Korn, Nirvana). The eleven tracks are set for release on September 23, 2003! FUEL will soon shoot a video for the first single, "Falls On Me," as the band finalizes its plans for an extensive headlining fall tour.
On Natural Selection Brett, Carl, Jeff and Kevin continue to show a knack for balancing surging anthems like "Falls On Me" and "Die Like This" with dark rockers like "Quarter" and "Down Inside of You" that ripple with equal parts muscle and melody. While in the studio recording Natural Selection, FUEL found itself exploring new sonic avenues. The trippy textures of "These Things" has its roots in Bell's experiments writing on piano instead of guitar for the first time, while "Most of All" finds the band pumping steroids into a melody-driven song.

Hey guys, got some more info for ya. Mixing is going good and everything is sounding amazing. Sony is shitting their pants they like it so much. The boys are accually meeting w/ the higher ups in the next few days. The word right now (which as we all know is subject to change) is that we could hear a single as soon as the end of July. The CD will be out Mid-Sept. They are thinking they have at least 6 singles that they can release to radio. They do the photo stuff for the CD this week. Hang on, the whole thing is really coming together now and the updates will be more frequent. Well, that's it for now.......talk to you soon.

P.S. By the way. I guess you guys might want to know some song names....... I only have 2........Falls On Me........and......Most Of All. Both of those are potential first singles. Later.
4/13/03 There have been some new updates to Fuelweb. The guys have been sending in some pretty funny video messages. Brett has been performing with Camp Freddy here is a link to some pictures. They have parted ways with their management and hope to have their new single out in July and to start a street team, very cool!
