I heard every word.
If it seemed
I didn’t remember…
I remember everything.
Your examples,
Tread a path through life,
And though
It sometimes looks,
Like I’ve strayed from the path,
I try my best
To live my own life,
With your life
As my inspiration.
Through failures,
And triumphs,
You always have a laugh
To start a brand new day.
As your son,
I couldn’t have asked
For a better model
To shape my own life.
Though different we may be,
I hope I’ve grown up,
To be just like you…
