Biomes: tundra, taiga, temperate forest & rainforest, temperate grassland, chaparral, desert

Mostly found in: Open tundra and forests

Located: Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, Yellowstone Park in Wyoming, Isle Royale National Park in Lake Superior, and Canada

Packs: Lives in packs of 2 - 15

Hierarchy of the pack: One alpha male and female, one beta male and female

Alpha Male: Dominant over the entire pack, can go anywhere he wants and take anything he wants

Beta Male: Second in the hierarchy, alpha female may be dominant over some of the lower-ranking males
