Across the nation professional Security Officer's daily risk their lives working to protect persons and property. They most often undertake these dangerous tasks as an "unarmed" officer. Many of these officers are poorly equipped and less well trained than they should be to accomplish their duty in a safe and effective manner. Annually, more than 50 Security Officers lose their lives facing more than 71,000 assaults perpetrated upon them all across the nation. NAPSOA is here to give voice to these officers. We're here to provide training opportunities, fight for a "National Training Standard" for ALL Security Officer's. We want to educate the general public as to "why" NO officer should be placed in "harm's way" without being allowed the inherent right to defend themselves and equipped with the necessary tools to effect that defense! NAPSOA desires to take the "insecurity" out of the private security industry as it exists for both Security Officer's and clients today. We need your help to accomplish this goal.
