            Career Related Experience

WVU Student Recreation Center Supervisor- (10/02-07/03)  I worked as a supervisor on the weekends and was an overseer of the $34-million, 177,000 square foot facility.  Supervised over 100 student employees, and over 17,000 square feet of weight and fitness areas, a 50-foot climbing wall, a leisure pool; whirlpool; fitness pool and 7 basketball courts, three racquetball courts, and numerous other activities and events for the WVU Student Recreation Center facility.

Graduate Assistantship- (1/03-6/03  I worked for the School of Physical Education, and Dr. Lynn Housner in a Basic Instructor Program (BIP) for West Virginia University teaching weight training, indoor soccer, flag football, and ultimate frisbee. 

High School Teacher- (2/01-6/01) I started out my teaching career at Freedom High School in Morganton, NC.  I filled in as full time teacher for the last five months of the school year.  I taught on a provisional special education license. My duties also included Assistant Baseball coach at Freedom High.

Student Teacher- (8/00-12/00) Mountainview Elementary, Morgantown, WV; South Middle School, Morgantown, WV; Preston County High School, Kingwood, WV

Involved in individual, small, and large group instruction and planning of instructional units. Developed whole group lessons and assignments for learning experiences in physical education, K-12.

Students with Disabilities Lab- (8/99-12/99) Developed lesson plans and individualized education plans (IEP’s) for learning disabled students and also instructing them on performing basic fundamental loco-motor skills.
