The Vikings outscored the Wildcats in every quarter but the fourth. Woods Cross closed to within four at 34-30 with 3:41 left in the third quarter, but Viewmont extended its lead to 11 points two minutes later and never looked back.
Brickton Flammer led the Vikings in scoring with 17 points. Teammate Brandon Homer scored 10 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out five assists and blocked one shot on his way to being named Deseret News Player of the Game. Tyler Mudrow scored 22 in the Wildcats' losing effort.
