Jack Ruby were a band whom we reviewed yrs ago on our u.s. underground page, page 22, down in the N.y. section because this band were from the streets on N.y. what sets them apart from the cbgb's and max's bands is that allthough their music too can be classified as pre-punk/art rock, it also made the No Wave category which really surfaced just after punk had hit, but these guys released their first single maybe as far back as '74, if you are reading this perhaps you have heard of 'hit and run', 'bored stiff' or 'out of touch', the releases were very scarce to come by and the band really only played a few dates, this one were the kinda band who influenced later day punk art bands such as SONIC YOUTH . . .
JOHN MENDLESON was a rock critic and musician who had a few releases, one was this ep released in '75 under the name JOHN MENDLESON's PITS, we like the music as it sounds like d.i.y. art rock . . unique sound to say the least . .

this uk band AGONY BAG were from a small england town and played a mix of glam rock and punk from about '76 - 80, they painted their faces like KISS like some bands of the day did before and after Kiss developed their look,....... this article might be from '76 or so and their single in '80 'Rabies is a Killer' has a strong punk attack but in the video it seems like the band is going for a real low grade performance, real low
