The Red Team members are mostly members of various Fire and EMS organizations throughout the Eastern Boroughs of Allegheny County. Some of our members while not Firefighters or EMS Personnel, have special training in areas that are of assistance to the team. All members train together for hundreds of hours to be prepared for any type of incident requiring our assistance. The team has been in existence for over 15 years and many of our original members are still active with the team.
What are the requirements to join our Hazmat Team:
18 years of age.
United States Citizen.
3. No Felony Convictions.
4. No convictions of any degree for acts of dishonesty.
5. Ability to complete 24 hours of training per year.
6. Ability to participate in monthly drills: September - May.
7. Hazmat Operations Certified when applying and ability and desire to become a Hazmat Technician under Allegheny County guidelines.
8. Valid Driver's License
