This is the section where you can read about anything new that's going on with me or with the site. I will update on the first of every month, and let you know about any new fics that have been posted, any new fics I'm working on, slash news in general, and anything else I can think to ramble about.
I tend to be an erratic writer, writing pages and pages of fic some days, and then writing nothing for days afterwards. Therefore, I'll post fic whenever I happen to finish it. At the first of every month, I'll let you all know what's been posted since the last update, and also what (if anything) about the site has changed. All new fic posted will have a little "new" tag on it, until the next update.

I can't believe it's already November, I'd hoped to have the site moved by now! But such is life, and that's going to have to wait a bit, as I'll explain in a moment.
New fic chapter is up! The second chapter of Ties That Bind has been posted. This chapter is told from Chris Chelios' point of view, and (as you may expect) has a slightly harder rating. Chris talks a bit about his past, which he thought he'd moved beyond. This is still a work in progess, so expect another chapter up soon. The next, I think, will feature everyone's favorite loudmouthed future hall-of-fame-er! No, not JR. Keep guessing. Chapter Two however, is dedicated to Christiane's Mark. They both know why ;)
This month, as some of you might know, is National Novel-Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. I am taking part this year, and as such have dedicated myself to writing at least 2,000 words of an original story per day. Because I'm doing this, I will not have time for fic. I would really like to see if I can finish an extended original piece, and this is the perfect time to do it! Thus, I won't have anything new for the next update. However, in early December, I hope to move the site and begin working on Ties That Bind again, so never fear! Consider it a short break :)
That's about all I have for you today! Good luck for anyone else writing, and happy reading :)

Welcome to fall! The season of change, and there are many changes in store for this site. More on that in a moment!
One new fic this month, a hockey fic entitled Ties That Bind. This is the long-ago-promised sequel to Unity, my 1985-based Chris Chelios/Patrick Roy fic. This one is more focused on Chris Chelios and Jiri Fischer than on Patrick, although he does have a part to play; as the books I'm reading are so fond of saying, the world has moved on. I sat down to write this as a one-shot, but quickly found that I had more story to tell than that, and so this will be told in chapters. I apologize if this seems like a "cop-out" but I really had no other choice. Personally, I blame my Cheli!muse. At first I thought he was just being stubborn. Turns out he was stalling for time so I'd tell a longer story. Damn musi. At any rate, the first chapter is up, the rating is a soft PG-13 for language (but will undoubtably go up), and please enjoy.
This site will soon be moving! This is my big news! It may not move before the next update, but it will be at a new location certainly by the new year. A friend of mine was gracious enough to give me some space on one of her domains, and soon the site will have a new design, a new look, and a new home (without ads, woohoo!). I am very excited to begin work on it, but sadly the real world interferes. I'll just leave it at "new changes, coming soon!"
Thank you as always for reading, and thank you especially to those who've sent me feedback. I really, truly appreciate it, and besides stroking my ego, it gives me the motivation to keep writing! Until next time.

Wow! This month really crept up on me! I apologize for the lateness, I had family visiting and I was sick right as August ended. I know, excuses, excuses.
I have a new wresling fic up this month, and also a new link to a fic I should have pimped long ago, and finally some pretty new buttons. The wrestling fic is titled Perspective. It's Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero, with a side of Chris Benoit/Chris Jericho. The fic is NC-17 for good reason, so heed the warnings and enjoy!
The link can be found on the Hockey fic main page and leads to a remixed version of my fic Butterfly Wings. It was remixed by my friend Anna; part of the story that I told from Patrick Roy's point of view is told from Adam Foote's point of view in her version. She wrote this (with my express permission) for the Remix Challenge back in June. I feel great amounts of shame that I haven't linked to this before, but the link is there, so please go read it. You won't be disappointed, Anna is a terrific writer.
I made some buttons for use in linking to me! If for whatever reason you'd like to link to my site, you can use one of the buttons located on the main page near the bottom. There is a general button, a hockey button, and a wrestling button. To use them, right-click on the button of your choice and save the image. Then upload it at your own photo-hosting-site and use it to link back here :) For covering-my-own-ass purposes, please link to the very top page that has the main warnings, https://www.angelfire.com/ex/rebeccacel/index.html Thank you for your support!
Other than that, I've fixed a few small errors I noticed on the site, and that's pretty much it. Sadly, I have not yet finished the next fic on my list, the sequel to Unity. I feel great amounts of shame for that, too, but I've been extremely blocked with this story. I am still working on it, though, and I will have it before the next update come hell or high water, so thank you in advance for your patience. I am also planning to sort of rehaul the site itself; the way the fics will be indexed will change to reflect the larger amount, the colors may be different, some new graphics will be in place, and the updates will be easier to find. I have many grand ideas, and hopefully at least a few will be in place by the next update. Thank you as always for reading, and I'll see you in October!

I have a new fic and a handful of links for you this month. The links first, as they are the most important! There are four more hockey fic sites and one more wrestling fic site linked on my Links page then there were last month! Now I have direct links to fanfiction by Bernie, Mae, Robyn, Anna, and Twig. You must visit these sites if you haven't already. And if you have, well... go again!
I have a new hockey fic for you this month. It's called Significant Figures and features Sergei Fedorov. He reflects on his past and the people he shared it with, most particularly Alex Mogilny. As is becoming the usual, the fic has a banner to go with it, so please do me a favor and check it out!
That's pretty much all that's going on at the moment. Please enjoy, until next time!

And this month, the site turns one year old! I am so surprised and thankful that it's gotten as much reader response as it has! I know that this is due greatly to it being linked at other fiction pages run by friends of mine, and for that I thank them from the bottom of my heart. I also deeply thank everyone who reads what I have to post. I still think the counter is lying to me, but thank you all so much for reading :)
And that ends my award acceptance speech! Again I apologize for this update being late, but I was without computer for the first days of July. I present you with two new fic banners in honor of the one-year anniversary of the site; you can see them on the Hockeyfic main page and the Wrestlefic main page. I decided those banners needed a face lift, and that's what I came up with.
There is also a new hockey fic on the site, called simply Big Hatch. This is an alternate universe fic, meaning it features hockey players in another life, another place and time. This one is about Derian Hatcher and a look at what his life could have been like if he had never played professional hockey. Since the link takes you past the disclaimers, be advised this story contains prostitution, IE money for sex. This story caused a lot of trauma while I was writing it, but it's gotten some really great feedback so far. There is also a banner I created for it, so please check it out!
That's all I have, I'm afraid. I meant to do a big blowout update for the site's anniversary but that didn't quite happen. I always get busiest when there are fun things to do! Look for small corrections and changes in the month to come, though, as there are some errors I've noticed that I'd like to fix, and I'd like to try to add a guest book for people to sign. As always, thank you for reading, and thank you for a great year!

Ahh finally, an update almost on time! Considering what happened the last few months, one day isn't so bad, right? ...Right??
There is a new hockeyfic and a new drabble up this month. The hockeyfic, however, may not be for everyone. It was written for the Remix Challenge going on amongst a small circle of writers. Bascially, everyone was assigned an author, and we chose a fic of that author to re-write from another point of view (please bear in mind that we had everyone's express permission to use each other's fics; this isn't something that should just be done spur-of-the-moment). I chose to remix a fic by an author named Christiane. Actually, I chose to remix one of her many storylines running through her fics, and it happened to encompass four chapters of one of her fics and some background information from another. Yeah. It ended up being really complex and complicated, and if you haven't read the fics I linked to in the author's notes, it will probably make no sense at all. Put it this way, the author running the challenge wanted to know what kind of crack I was smoking when I wrote it.
I apologize for the lack of stand-alone-ness of the fic, but I adored the story so much that I simply could not resist writing it from my favorite character's rather unique point of view. The fic is called, simply, Igor the Spider.
The drabble is thankfully less complicated. Located at the Drabble page as always, it is entitled Come Away. It features Pavel Datsyuk/Henrik Zetterberg and has a PG-13 rating.
One last thing, I figured since I was linking to Christiane's page six ways from Sunday, I ought to add her to my Links page, right? So I did just that.
I'll let you all know right now that next month's update will be at least week late, but this time I have a valid excuse: I will be out of town. But, its lateness will hopefully be excused by a new hockeyfic that is in progress right now. Until next time, be well!

April 1st, 2004, and May 1st, 2004
Well, I said the last update was late, but clearly I was just warming up for the next few months! I heartily apologize. What with all the drama and nervousness surrounding the NHL playoffs, I have been in zero mood to write, and I really had nothing new to tell you all!
I am back this/these month(s) with a brand-new wrestling fic, Scavenger Hunt. It was intended for James' birthday way back in November *shame* and features Randy Orton playing a little game of Mark Jindrak's devising. It's rated NC-17, heed the warnings. There's also a pretty new banner to go with it, so stroke my ego and check it out!
Nothing new on the hockeyfic front this time around, but two fics are in progress that I hope to finish by June. There is, however, a new banner up at the main index page, confirming my love of the BCH. It was created/copyrighted by BCH Lovers and is their creative property to be used only with permission.
Again, I apologize for the lateness of this update, I resolve to post much more fic than I have been lately. Thank you as always for reading!

March 1st, 2004
Oh, wow, this update is really, really late in the posting, and I apologize. I was out of town sans laptop for the first week and half of this month, and after that, I was waiting for a certain fic challenge to be posted, so that I could put my entry here.
There are two new fics and a new drabble this month. First up is a hockeyfic, entitled The Adventure of Bitches Constantly and the Useless Kid, starring Sean Avery and Max Kuznetsov of the Kings. As you can tell, this isn't exactly a complimentary fic; it was written for Bernie's Team I Hate fic challenge. I don't hate LA, but I did have a lot of fun being mean to two of their players. :) Check out the banner, as well! The drabble is, as usual, on the Drabble page. It's the very last one, called Double Your Fun, with Brett Hull, Pavel Datsyuk, and Henrik Zetterberg. It's also my very first NC-17 drabble, located at the very bottom of the page.
There is a whole new section on the site this month! I've tried my hand at a few outside fandoms, and I liked something I wrote so much that I made a new section to contain it. At Sea is currently the only fic on the Other page, but I hope to have more up soon. At Sea features actors Viggo Morgenstern and Orlando Bloom, best known from the Lord of the Rings Movies. I hope to see this section bloom in the coming months, but we'll see.
That's all for this month! Until next time :)

February 1st, 2004
Hello! There is one new fic this month, only one, yes, but it's on the long side, so I hope it will do. It's called October 30th, and features Steve Yzerman and Kirk Maltby. The story takes a look at a single day over three years, and how the lives of the characters and their teamates change with the passing of time.
And hey, if long fic isn't to your taste, there is also one new Drabble on the Drabble page, with Boyd Devereaux, Steve Yzerman, and Brett Hull. It's the very first one, G-rated, entitled "Almost."
Hopefully in the next update there will be a completed wrestlefic, and maybe even something in a new fandom! We shall see. Until then, enjoy!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. And in celebration, I finally have fic finished! Two even!
Finally, finally, Yin Yang is done! That link will take you to the main index. The new parts up are the second half, Yang, and the epilogue. But check out my mad html skills, now you can go to each individually if you chose to do so!
There is also a hockeyfic for you this month. Patrick's Inferno is a parody fic I wrote for a friend of mine. It's composed largely of running jokes, so it might be confusing for some. It's not for everyone.
But not to worry, if all goes well, there will be brand-new hockeyfic AND wrestlefic next month. Until then, I wish you well!

The last site update of 2003! Where does the time go? Meeeeeeeemories! Light the corners of my mind...
Okay, I'll stop.
Since last month, something extraordinary has happened: I've discovered the art of the drabble! A drabble is a fic that is 100 words. The strict definition is 100 words exactly; the definition I write by is 100 words or less. Getting a feeling or idea across in just 100 words is much, much harder than it looks, I assure you! However, I have four to offer you this month. Check them all out on the brand-new Drabbles page.
And here is the part of the update where I cheat. The next new thing isn't something I wrote, but the work of a friend of mine. She wrote a sequel to The Player's Court called Learning to Work Together. It stars Brett Hull and Igor Larionov, and is hot enough to melt stone. Please click the link and check out her sequel! It is amazing and awesome and you won't regret it.
Writer's block is the bane of my existance. I hope to get some work done this month and finish some stories I have in the works, but with all the traveling and shopping and family gatherings coming up, I just don't know. Until then, happy holidays if you celebrate, happy December if you don't, and happy reading for all!

I report to you this month from Dallas! Since the last update, I've made the move from Detroit to Dallas. It's been a lot of work, and quite an adjustment as well.
As such, sadly I've been very busy and haven't had much time to write. I have worked a bit on several stories that aren't quite ready for posting, and have finished only one story for you this month. It is in the hockeyfic fandom, and is titled Let's Take a Meeting. It is coach!slash, featuring Craig MacTavish and Craig Simpson of the Edmonton Oilers. The Craigs meet to discuss an extremely pressing issue brought up by MacT.
That's all I have for you, fic-wise. However, I decided that the main banner needed to be redone a bit, to include more people about whom I've written. Click the link below to the main index to see my mad PaintShop skills.
It's hard to believe the next update will be December's. Hopefully by then I'll have three stories that are in the works finished, and perhaps one or two more. Until then, happy reading!

I've been more productive that usual this month; I've finished three fics that are now on the site, and I'm in the process of writing three more. I had hoped to have the second part of Yin Yang for you today, but sadly, Rob is speaking rather slowly. You're all shocked, I can tell. But it will be up within the week, if all goes well.
Until then, I have three hockey fics for you, two brand-new and one old. Opposition was a ficlet that I had not intended to write. It features Chris Chelios and Todd Bertuzzi, two men who, in real life, can't stand each other; each frequently will take a potshot at the other in the media. One such shot occured recently and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to write them as the beasts they are. Since this link will bypass the disclaimers, please be advised that it's rated NC-17 for a good reason, and the sex is quite rough.
Unity is the long-expected first time!sex Patrick Roy/Chris Chelios fic. I promised to write this months ago, and decided to write it for my friend Kris' birthday. Which was in August. I'm a bit late. But at any rate, here it is. It takes place in 1984, when the two men were Canadiens, so I hope old-school hockey fans will enjoy it. Please note that French is NOT a language I speak; what French is in the story I got via Babel Fish, and thus if it isn't quite right, I apologize.
And last, but certainly not least, is a little ficlet that I'd completely forgotten about. I wrote it a year ago at the hockey-dreams site; it was a tongue-in-cheek Halloween ficlet, and I couldn't even remember what I'd titled it. Thanks to Jess for reminding me, and to Mae for finding it for me in the archives, because the scary story is now available for everyone to read. Have fun at the Masquerade.
Until next time!

September 1st, 2003
Wow, is it September already? The time flies I guess.
Two new fics are up this month. They are both in the hockey fandom, both are birthday fics, and both are for birthdays that took place in July :) I have been having severe writers block lately, which is the reason there is no new part of Yin Yang up this month. I feel badly about that, but I think the block is getting better, so hopefully the next update will be different.
At any rate, this month I have for you Butterfly Wings and Island of Paradise. The first is a fic featuring my favorite insane goalie, Patrick Roy, in a format that is very new for me. It's all about dreams, philosophy, probability theory, sacrifice, fate, and destiny. I enjoyed writing this and though the result is a little, hmm, odd, what else would one expect from Patty Roy fic?
The second is less heavy, starring two Canucks, Dan Cloutier and Murray Baron. In writing this fic I discovered Dany has a very dirty mouth, and also that the kitchen can be the most entertaining room in the house. Yes, indeed it can.
I've been pretty occupied this month, so that's about all I have for you. Until next time, and enjoy!

August 1st, 2003
This is technically a day late, but hey, there was a lot to do!
There are two new fics up. The first is the next part of Yin Yang. Actually, since the first part was but a prologue, the part that is up is Chapter One, entitled Yin. Angst, angst, and more angst is in store for you with this one. Remember that this is a fic in the wrestling fandom, featuring the pairing of Kane and RVD. The second fic is in the hockey fandom. It's a story I originally was calling Judge Stevie, but eventually settled on naming The Player's Court. In contrast, this fic is light and funny. At least, so I've been told. It features the members of the Detroit Red Wings in all their dubious glory.
There are two new links up in the links section, which I hope you will check out, as the authors and owners of both are wonderful writers. Since the site is still new, there has been some random tweaking and adjusting, but nothing really major; basically, the changing around of wording and font and file names that is only interesting to the person doing it. So I'll shut up about it now.
Other than that, there's not a whole hell of a lot going on. Enjoy the site!

July 1st, 2003
Welcome to the site! Today is opening day, so basically everything is new! All of the fic posted here has been posted elsewhere, whether on fanfiction.net (before they banned RPS and NC-17 fic), one of my yahoo mailing lists, my own livejournal, or a friend's website. However, there is one brand-new fic up: the prologue to Yin Yang. It is located in the wrestlefic section and features the pairing Kane/RVD.
The Links section is somewhat bare at the moment, but I am collecting more links as I go. My goal is to have a rather complete list of links to sites featuring both hockeyfic and wrestlefic. If this applies to you, email me at the address below.
If any links don't work, if any of the colors are hard to read, if you see anything at all that doesn't look quite right, please don't hesitate to let me know.
