This department consists of a Lecture hall, 2 Pathology
labs, a Museum, & a Histo-pathology section.
Histo-pathology
section deals with cases
from attached teaching
hospitals (ALLIED & DHQ hospital). Keeping
abreast with modern trends in
diagnostic medicine, fine
needle aspiration cytology was introduced and
currently more than 600 cases are done annually.

computerized academic record of students for
internal assessment is being kept.
It is with the aim
of familiarizing students with the objective system
of examination that Pathology
Challenge Trophy is held annually. Top 20
students of the 4th year
class compete for this new
popular and coveted honor.
