"Seize the day". That is a simple expression that I strive to live my life by everyday. I am like any other person… I have dreams and expectations. I have a "never give up attitude that serves me well. Also, I carry a belief that there is goodness within everyone. With these traits, I am almost confident that I will succeed in anything and everything that I set out to do. Sound interesting doesn't it? Ok, let's learn a little bit more about me!

I am an average 15 year old girl who has led an interesting life, up to this point. I have lived a life of excitement, sorrow, and a misadventure or two… but through it all, I have never lost the will to keep trying. Indeed, I still believe there is goodness that is common in all people. I study diligently knowing full well that only thru practice and hard work I will obtain the best grades I am capable of. From that branches off a key ingredient in my life's goal-graduating from college. Armed with my degree, I am certain that I will find a well paying job, so that I may provide for all that the future holds in store.

After a long day of studying, I like to relax and loosen up. My favorite way to do this is to read online, sleep, or read a good book. Whether it is mystery with suspense or laughter with comedy. I also like to come home and watch some television (if time). And even though I relaxe by watching TV... don't be surprised if you catch me watching the O'Reily Factor on Fox news - wanting to expand my political views, so that I may be a more informed better citizen. I also enjoys playing the piano. I find that there is peace in my playing, so much so that it warms my heart to play.

The time between dinner and going to bed is always filled with hard work and dutiful studying. One of the most important things that I have come to realize is that if I want to be successful, I must get a full nights rest. So while some maybe awake at night, I will be fast asleep in bed.

One of the keys to success in achieving my dreams and goals has always been my family. Whether it is advice from my mom, Myrna, or help from my dad, Edgar, I have always held comfort in the knowledge they are there for me. I also have a brother, Anthony. And while he can be trouble at times, I love him just the same.

At the end of the day, when all is said and done, I hold several truths dear. That one must always live for the moment; one never knows when the breath they draw may be their last. It is also important to keep your beliefs with you, even in the darkest of nights; they will be what guides you. But most importantly, I believe that despite all the negative things in this world, humanity has a kindness, and a goodness that resides in us all. That in time of crisis and sorrow, only the best in people shall rise to the occasion. It is this last belief that I can sum up best by saying, "never lose hope."
