I was born in the borough of Queens in N.Y.C. , I lived there till I was 9. Then I moved out to a town on The Great South Bay. I am currently give or take a mile about 45 miles from N.Y.C. Long Island is known for its potatoes and its many beaches and now we are becoming known for our wineries too. One of our well known beaches is called Fire Island it is connected to Long Island by ferries and you can drive over to it to by car a few miles then there are no cars allowed at all. They get there groceries by ferries and what they call water taxis from here too. One of the biggest attractions here that people all over the country come to see is Montauk Point that is on the Eastern End of the island. Our wineries are over on the other eastern end of the island by Orient Point,there are also some wineries going toward Montauk Point too you will see farms mainly on The Orient Point side of the island. We also have some celebrities here too to name a few singer Mariah Carey and actor Alec Baldwin.
