"You belong in Gryffindor,
where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
set Gryffindors apart."
Gryffindor House is the house full of the "brave at heart". Their daring, nerve and chivalry set Gryffindors apart from the rest of Hogwarts. Gryffindor is named by one of Hogwarts founders, Godric Gryffindor. The school common room and dormitories is located in some of the school towers. To enter, a password has to be given to the Fat Lady in the pink silk dress, who lives in a picture frame that guards the entrance to the house common room and dorms. After climbing through the portrait hole, you enter a cozy common room full of squashy armchairs. One door leads up to the boys' dormitory tower, another door to the right is the girls' dormitory. The common room is always full of Gryffindor students studying, playing or resting from their wizard studies. Hogwarts' most famous student, Harry Potter, resides in Gryffindor along with his two best friends Hermoine Granger and Ron Weasley.
