On this 20th day of January,2001 George W. Bush JR took the oath of office and became America's 43rd president.

This is a cartoon depicting times during the oil shortage. Before and during the war with Iraq (Iraq wich holds 2/3 of the worlds oil supply) oil was withheld from the U.S. In another desperate attempt to break down the U.S many oil wells were set aflame. Although this cartoon is an exageration the times during the oil shortage were not far from it.

This is an actual photo of the many Tomahawk Cruise Missiles being launched to hit the the Iraqi city of Baghdad. The war with Iraq first came about whe Iraq refused to destroy it's alleged biochemical weapons of mass destruction.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton was a critically acclaimed hiphop/soul artist who successfully made the transition from singer to actress. She starred in the action thiller Romeo Must Die and the horror film The Queen of the Dead. She was just aboput to start filming for The Matrix Reloaded when on her way back from filming her music video "Rock The Boat" in the Bahamas her plane crashed. The day was August25,2001. Aaliyah was 22 years old. Her fans along with those who had never known her were devistated.

On September 11,2001 sevral afghani terrorist,s hijacked four commercial jets.They killed the pilots and took control of the planes. Aboard the plane headed towrds the White House a small group of American civilians had confroted the hijackers and crashed the plane before it hit the White House. Another plane hit the section of the Pentagon. But the most devastating of the planes were the two which hit each of the WTC buildings. Their impact was so devastating that it completely destroyed both of the buildings. Hundreds died and many were never found. The tragedies of this day forced the American people as a whole to come together.

Jam Master Jay, born Jason Mizell in the middle-class Queens, N.Y., neighborhood of Hollis, was the DJ in the legendary '80s rap band Run-DMC. He was shot and killed in a Queens recording studio on a Wednesday night October31,2002. Jay was 37, a married man with three kids and no particular reputation as a thug or a hard case

On February 1,2003 the space shuttle Columbia was returning from a 16 day tirp when she suddenly burst into flames. She was about 200,000 feet up and traveling at 12.500 mph.

Fred McKinley Rogers is famous for being the star of the hit t.v. show Mr.Rogers Neighborhood. In 1952 she married concert pianist Joanne Byrd. In 1968 Mr.Rogers Neighborhood debuts. After almost 900 episodes of Mr.Rogers Neughborhood Fred Rogers died of kidney and liver failure on February 27,2003 at his home in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. He is survived by two sons and two grandsons.

This is a picture of an example of the cloning and genetics technology the scientist of America have come up with. It is an ear genetically transfused to a rat. Dolly the sheep was a clone who is now dead. Some people wonder if her being cloned had anything to do with it.

the year 2000 marked the beginning of a new millenium. It also was the day my little sister Angel was born.
