Participation in several refinery projects:
- 1998 - 2000. New control room commissioning activities,
control loops tuning (Fisher-Rosemount RS3 system). Developed
several process control applications: refinery gas measurement,
gasoline blending system, pressure control scheme for one of the
light ends system tower, smart pipestill pumparound.
- 1994 - 1995. Main pipestill tower revamping/modification.
Addition of a 4 trays section, an additional side-stream and a
pumparound system.
- 1993. New crude flash drum for refinery's capacity
expansion
- 1984. Heat integration improvements. Switching two reboiler
exchangers from hot oil loop to process heat.
- 1999. Caustic wash system revamp, for sulfides removal from
propane product.
Some Technical Department assignments:
- 1999. Worked in development of an improved diesel hydrofiner
catalyst activation procedure (sulfiding). Operation were carried
out successfully.
- 1985 - 2000 Monitoring of naphtha reformer (semi-regen type)
catalyst activity. Planning and preparation of catalyst
regeneration activities. Participated in 9 regenerations.
- 1990 - 1998. Gasoline blend planning.
- 1985 - 1990. Monitoring of heat exchangers performance and
fired heaters operation, focusing on energy conservation.
- 1978 - 1980. Laboratory supervision.
- Miscellaneous administrative and Safety Awareness activities.
