Successful entrepeneur from a noble house in Roghan, Lower Ansernia, Malleus was recently found out to have been behind the string of kidnappings that had been occurring in that area. He had started up a local Cult to Orcus and was collecting children for some sort of dark ritual he was to perform. Luckily the Light of Pelor caught onto his evil scheme and showed up with time to spare in order to stop the ritual before he could harm one child. Unfortunately he had already "experimented" on many of the children, and due to some unorthodox tactics on the part of the Witch Hunters a number of children ended up dying of smoke inhilation as well.
Malleus has since revealed his secret desire to undermine the most recent turn in Cult politics, with the Cult of Orcus and the Cult of Moloch striking a deal on behalf of their respective idols. This deal doesn't sit well with Lord Verrull, and he has been causing little things here and there to happen in order to delay the progress of the joint plans. After having manipulated the Striders of Fharlanghn and the Light of Pelor into "beating" him on several occassions Malleus has now revealed the entirety of the picture to both group of people in the hopes that they can aid him in halting the deal completely.
