The Night Knives commonly employ expendable mercenaries to perform tasks for them. Oftentimes this will be to merely increase their numbers for a time, but more often then not they'd rather save their more experienced agents for tasks that either are more important or aren't as risky as the ones they'll pay sell-swords to do. Most these mercenaries are usually only on board for maybe one or two jobs, but some of them occassionally will begin to have a working relationship with the guild to the point of almost being a member.
