Profession: Ranger by choice, Assassin by necessity. Francois's story would seem tragic to many, or at the very least a damn shame. He grew up among the Snow Elf tribes of the North, but for reasons he is even unaware of his mother fled with him South down to the Empire of the Upper Crags. It was there some short time afterwards she would expire, leaving Francois on his own with only the skills he picked up from living among his people. He was able to easily sustain himself off the wilderness, for whether it was his people's innate instincts kicking in, or he had just been trained well enough, he was a fairly good ranger even when he was very young. He soon began to track for hire, finding that it could be profitable as well as self-sustaining. Once he was hired by a Cleric of Corellon Larethian to guide him through a forest, and the Cleric was so impressed with Francois's skill with a bow and with tracking that he immediately asked him to sign on with the Elven Pantheon. He did this reluctantly, but he's been a member ever since that day 175 years ago. He travelled a bit with the Pantheon, eventually ending up in Zan Thulte to aid in the covering of the existance of an evil artifact hidden within the depths of Mount Fear. This is where things started to go awry... Francois started hanging out with the wrong people once he got to Zan Thulte, namely agents of the Iron Throne known as Benson and Mauldin. It was through them that he first started taking contract jobs for one Jeremiah Kofni, the guildmaster of the Iron Throne's Zan Thulte offices. It was because of his ruthless missions for Kofni that he slowly became colder and less appauled by some of his more gruesome work, earning a nickname that Kofni gave him: The Fixer. This was all unbeknownst to his Elven Pantheon compatriots, who still to this day consider him a loyal and trustworthy ally. One could guess that Francois is still loyal to the Elven Pantheon, however, the Fixer is a completely different story altogether... |
