I use the computer for almost everything- and spend most of my time on the Internet- especially America Online. I also use the internet to do all my research for classes and entertainment. I came to the conclusion that the best search engine is Google. I love playing internet games, also. My favorite games are all on eBaum'sWorld- the helicopter game is addicting! Since I love all animals, but mostly penguins, I'll sometimes visit the website that has a "Penguin Dance" (So Cute!)

Stop Internet Censorship

-The author of this article is disturbed by the fact that politicians are trying to take our right to read and say what we want. The Internet grows bigger everyday, and more and more people are making web sites, posting their comments, and just putting their opinions out there. However, the government is now deciding to make new laws and regulate "personal liberty". This truly is against the first amendment, yet, I personally think there are some remarks and ideas on the Internet that should not be allowed, and they may be too vulgar.

What happened to the "information superhighway"?

-This article explains how the World Wide Web, in half of a decade, has gone from being an "information superhighway", to a means of making and spending money. Almost every website you go to, even if its just to read up on some information, will now make you pay for it. As the author said, "The World Wide Web isn't supposed to make sense nearly as much as it's supposed to make money".

Internet Usage Depresses Traditional Participation

-This article shows a big problem in today's technological society. Based on a study in 2000, it seems that people who are heavy Internet users don't take the time to vote, let alone show an interest in elections. The author of this article also found, not very surprisingly, that the older Internet users paid more attention to the campaigns than the younger users.
