ALFA LEISURE CONFUSES BUYERS WITH 5 YEAR WARRANTY CLAIMS /MBA FAILS TO FULFILL THEIR WARRANTIES

ALFA OWNERS BEWARE
IF YOU OWN AN ALFA SEE-YA COACH READ THIS:

NEWSFLASH:SEE THE TICKER BELOW

ALFA'S LATEST ADVERTISEMENTS IN FAMILY MOTOR COACH MAGAZINE DOES NOT BRAG ABOUT THE GOLD COVERAGE BY ALFA. OWNERS OF ALFA CYA MOTORHOMES ARE NOW REPORTING DANGEROUS FAILURES ON THE NATIONAL HIGHWAY TRAFFIC SAFETY WEBSITE. SINCE THEY DON'T LIST ALFA UNITS IN THEIR PULLDOWN LISTS, THE FAILURES ARE LISTED UNDER FREIGHTLINER & ALFA CYA IS SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED IN THE NOTES. THIS IS JUST MORE THAT ALFA TRIES TO HIDE FROM OWNERS AND POTENTIAL OWNERS. BUYERS BEWARE.

BACKGROUND: If you own an Alfa See-Ya motorhome or 5th Wheel trailer, your 2nd through 5th year of extended warranty coverage is contracted to a company named MBA located in Scottsdale Arizona. As reported by a service manager of an Alfa authorized dealer, this company has a reputation of refusing claims. Coach owners are left fighting MBA for claims that are covered by contract yet MBA refuses to cover or pay. What's ever worst are Alfa authorized dealers who instead of doing proper pre-delivery inspections before owners take delivery, dealers are trying to charge MBA by telling Alfa & or MBA the defects are owner abuse and shouldn't be covered.

MBA for its part merely takes the large fee's from Alfa Leisure estimated at 300 units per month, and any additional factory imposed fee's from subsequent owners then nickel and dimes owners on repair claims on covered items. Alfa Leisure has received complaints from owners and Alfa dealers & other repair shops but still maintains they never have received complaints about MBA.

The poor customer service which Alfa tries to reverse by advertising its products(on a well known ISP with a cowboy theme song)on a forum which is run and controlled by a Alfa contracted company, does nothing more than keep info concerning repair and warranty issues from potential buyers and owners.

Steve Wishek an employee of Alfa Leisure also threatens forum members that he will disclose their home addresses, phone numbers, and other personal information within Alfa's possession if they disclose quality, repair, or warranty issues in the forum. Rik Roberts, President, of RV Consulting who runs this forum also actively removes members who join the forum and mention warranty issues. Alfa headquarters also claims not to be responsible for how the forum is run per its website, and claims it does not have a contract with RV Consulting, but the very pro stance of this company would lead any reasonable person to believe there is more than just a liking of the products involved.

A quote of some of the threats made by Steve Wishek to members, lists as follows on the Alfa See-Ya forum:

From: "Steve Wishek" Date: Tue May 20, 2003 1:18 pm Subject: RE: [alfaseeya] Alfa does not condon Rik's actions on this forum per its Alfa contract. This is what we at Alfa will do. If after some time...we will post his address and phone numbers, and you all can tell him how you feel directly. Steve Wishek Alfa Leisure

Another quote from this forum reads: Subject:Hacker Recruitment, goes on to state: Message number 5041- "Make no mistake, (Rik Roberts states)Im serious on this...we have one sociopath...If you wish to assist me please contact me by personal email rvconsulting1@yahoo.com...we want the knock on his door to be the first clue."

Threats like this and more are common place and owners are intimidated into towing the corporate line or be banned from participation in the group forum. This forum which was suppose to provide owners with data about their motorhomes, data by the way that Alfa does not include in its' manuals or instructions.

Those who spend close to $200,000.00 for Alfa products should be given all data about those products and then they can make their own decisions. Alfa trys to control information to prevent potential owners and owners to be so they don't find out about MBA or warranty problems until after they go through it themselves.

These issues should lead owners and any potential owners to take all this into consideration that it may happen to them. By the time owners find out about this they have already past the initial 12 month warranty putting them at the mercy of MBA,usually too late to do much about. RV Consulting is doing nothing but using smoke screens to deflect attention away from the issues of MBA and repair problems for the sake of being politically correct with its RV industry contacts.

All Alfa product owners should file suit namely a class action lawsuit against Alfa Leisure and/or MBA or demand Alfa replace all MBA coverages for all Alfa owners with a new policy from a new company.

Feel free to contact MBA and/or Alfa Leisure and tell them how you feel about this. Sooner or later you will have to deal with MBA whether you want to or not.

Mr.Crean of Alfa Leisure ignores these warranty problems because once you make your purchase Alfa feels it's no longer responsible. How could a company like Alfa treat valued customers in this manner, once they have your hard earned cash, the problem is off their back.

Act now to protect your investment!
Alfa has known about this problem with MBA and has refused to act to serve Alfa owners with a true warranty as they advertised. A copy of this will also be sent to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, and U.S. Dept of Transportation.
What is your name?
What is your email address?
What is your Vin number?
I own an Alfa and want Alfa Leisure to change my extended warranty coverage from MBA to another company to protect my investment. I also object to RV Consulting controlling group forums trying to round up buyers by neglecting owner interests. MBA should be required to honor it's contractual obligation to it's contract holders and Alfa should require them to do so or find another company
*****This form will be emailed to Alfa Leisure on your behalf.*****
