cd release of b GIRLS unreleased tracks
the B GIRLS were a canadian all girl new wave band who played on lps from such music giants as BLONDIE, and STIV BATORS, the music resembles sounds from ; BLONDIE to the SHANGRI LAs to RAMONES pop.........one member bassist CYNTHIA ROSS was at one time engaged to STIV BATORS......other members were lead guitarist RENEE CHETSKY, drummer MARCY SADDY, singer LOCASTA ROSS, and guitarist XENIA SPLAWINSKI, .......their debut lp 'LIVE AND KICKING' was released in ' 78, a 2nd lp in ' 80 entitled 'B-DAY' was released, but neither lp were given much press at the time of release, a cd called ' WHO SAYS GIRLS CAN' T ROCK ', came out in recent years compilaing some previously unreleased tracks...........one of which is a cover of the HEARTBREAKERS ' CHINESE ROCKS'....................... *
we used to have a video featuring Mrs. CYNTHIA ROSS when she was dating STIV back around ' 78, it was a cable access show filed with them and SID and NANCY, it's about 20 minutes long , and is funny to watch, the girls hung around with these guys and the RAMONES and HEARTBREAKERS too..........today SPLAWINSKI may now live in a Hindu community in canada......not sure what happened to the other gals ??....here are some short reviews of 5 tunes........

another all girl band from canada ( toronto ) were - the CURSE, allthough they were very different from the sunny pop of the b GIRLS, the CURSE sounded more like the STOOGES, heavy and hard hitting.........featuring vocalist MICKEY SKIN, on the single 'RAW' she sings 'IF IT TASTES SO GOOD SWALLOW IT YOURSELF' !, somewhere in their discography is a song called 'SOMETHING U CAN' T TELL YOUR MOTHER', here is a discography ;

CURSE '77 ep
Today's subject matter is our relationship with God. That is self-realization. The sankirta movement is the easiest process for self-realization because it cleanses the heart. Our misunderstanding of our identity is due to the dust covering the mirror of the mind. In a mirror that is covered with dust one cannot see himself. But if it is very clear, then one can see himself. So meditation is a process for cleansing the heart. Meditation means to try to understand one's relationship with the Supreme.
With everything with which we come in contact there is a relationship. Because I am now sitting on this cushion, the relationship is that I shall sit and the cushion will hold me. You have relationships. You are Englishmen or Indians, so there is a relationship with your society, with your family, with your friends. So what is our relationship with God ?
If you ask everyone, very few people will be able to explain their relationship with God. They say, "What is God ?
