T-5 Parachutes - These were preferably camouflage, however they sometimes had to use easy-to-pick-off white ones. However, in a cloudy sky, the camoflauge ones became more conspicuous, until they landed, of course. |

Heavy padded drop bags - These were used for storing their rifles in sections. D-Day Crickets - These brass noisemakers were actually a tool that protected the soildiers from themselves. If a unit heard someone nearby, he would click the cricket. The other person would then either click back, notifying his friendliness, or if he remained silent, he was then shot by the first man, as he was an enemy soldier. Paratrooper Boots - These brown boots were of higher quality than general issue because they had better padding which provided additional protection for landing. C-47 - This was the two propellar plane that dropped off the 101st. This model was of common use among paratroopers. |

Helmets - These helmets were standard equipment for paratroppers, although most of the time they tried not to land on their heads. Markings on the side indicated their rank and to what regiment they belonged. |
