Today is a great day for the whole USSN, as today (28th September 2003), our President, Stephan Christianovich, arived in person at our small, unworthy housing estate, to officially open the USSN website to the World!

"Sometimes it is necissary to take one step backwards in order to take two steps forward" the President remarked, echoing the words of Lenin, as he was told of the technical difficulties, which forced the temporary closure of the site earlier this month.

The three programmers of the site were presented the Red Star, the highest civillian honour, for their work on the project which, has brought together the whole community in working for a common cause.

Even the Drunken, tutu wearing hobo, "Steve", was spotted helping to maintain the power conection to the server, by holding the transformer in one hand and the mains cable in the other. For this act of heroism, the famous "Minister X", cheif of the WMD program presented Steve with a MCE, Member of the Communist Empire, award. Unfortunatly, the iron in the badge, upon contact with Steve's skin, caused a short circut, which knocked out power to half the city.

Thankfully, the excellent emergency plans meant that the ambulence only took an hour to reach the estate, and it even had all four wheels still atached! The power was restored shortly afterwards.

Steve is now recovering in hospital from severe burns and a papercut, he is said to be in a stable condition; "Minister X" was unharmed.
