family: He came from a pretty average family. His parents had died when he was young, but his aunt and uncle had taken him on and were raising him like their own son. Jie (which means purity) Kam (gold) was on the road to success when his life fell apart around him. With the death of his wife, his uncle fell into drugs and alcohol. With the dwiddling money supply, Jie turned to the underground world in hopes of supporting his uncle before he was blown away by a loan shark. As fate would have it, he was hired by a notorious triad don who once controlled the North Star.

clothing: Jie has always appeared younger than he seemed. In fact, most people (including the members of North Star) believed him to be in his late teens, and he thought it would be too troublesome to inform them otherwise. Partly because it was his job to pretend he was a kid to catch the current don of North Star unawares and partly because he just enjoyed wearing jeans, Jie dresses like a man in his early twenties. He goes for funky jeans and shirts with interesting prints on them, but you can usually find him in a button down and loose slacks.

hobbies: Reading and researching about his family heritage. His newest hobby playing cards and gambling, thanks to Hakushe.

weapon: He keeps a neat little semi-automatic barrette with him.

nicks: None, since none of the North Star are aware of his true identity, "Kurid" seems enough.

toys: His electronic notebook has a neat little game on it that allows you to cyberly disect a frog. He spends hours on that computer.

home: He lives on his own in a dank little hole. No, heck, this kid lives in a cozy little apaato with his cat Simon.
