Description: | ||||||||||
Basestars are the newest
constructs of the Black Empire. They have the choice of maintaining
100% human slave or cyborg crews. Another option would be a 400% robot crew or any mix and match. Its not that the robots are less effective (they are) but that they require fewer resources. Simply put a Basestar can carry a division of robot troops if the Master Virus chooses. Basestars have enormous resources for tech support. Engineering shops repair computers and technology constantly. The true difference between a basestar and a human design ship is efficiency. The basestars are designed to be efficient for Virus not humans. Also, the Black Empire has taken an extensive TL hit in everything but computers. Most of their effort is related to having the best computer capability. The more violent Virus strains obliterated infrastructure on worlds they captured. If rotating the ship, the 3 spinal mounts can fire on a single target in 1-20minute turn. Or they can choose seperate targets. Virus (Cylons or otherwise) are not in favor of extensive meson weapon and black globe use. The reason for this is not clearly understood. If these systems are present it will be using a human slave crews. Virus tends to name vessels after the master virus that controls the ship. |
