| The T20 design Vigilante Class StarMerc is based on the Admiral Bertil class modified Type M Armed Liner by Charles E Gannon. Many production sites, after the Rebellion started, converted the standard 600t liner to an armed liner. Essentially, a mercenary vessel. Two forms of the liner occured, troop carrier, and armed liner. The later was more common. | ||||||||||
| Admiral Bertil class has several
features: 1. One Bridge gunner can control all of the energy and PA turrets, the other can choose to control missiles or sandcasters. Although, computer control is often used for the sandcaster. Each turret has an individual operations station. The former bridge dome has houses the communications, sensor arrays. The side missile turrets have been replaced with PAs, and the aft missile turret replaced with a Triple Pulse Laser Turret. 2. The disk has seperate life support and functions. It can a last defense of point should the remainder of the ship be damaged or highjacked. 3. The 4 10t interface fighters can be replaced with 15 ton fighters. 4. It carries 10.55dt of fuel for its subcraft. |
