As I sat one night and watched a TV program on the marketing and sale of jeans to the teenage consumer, I realized how utterly retarded the older generation is. Not only that, but I realized that my generation is just as blindly stupid with trends and so-called "originality"
Its not just the clothes we ware however, it seems to be anything under the sun these days. New studies show that the motorcycle industry has increased its market almost 45% in the last 5 years. this means that anyone who has the cash buys a bike just to follow the trend? This leads to the weekend bikers, who only pull out their hogg on saturday to wash it, and take it to the shop for repairs. As comedy god George Carlin so eloquently put it, "Harley Davidson used to mean something. Big bikers full of beer and crank, cursing around for a good time." Now by no means am I a hell's Angle, but I grew up loving bikes and what they stood for. Now that all seems to have been thrown into the homogenized mixture of pop culture. Come on people! don't be mindless sheep! If 50 people jumped out of a plane without a parachute, would you do it to just to be cool? Granted there are those who cant help but follow the trends, its all they know how to do, but does that give mass markets the right to make billions on what one person held as their own unique style?
To be perfectly honest, I cant stand the way other kids look at me, just because I don't like what they do. Especially, it seems, the generation below me. They seem to be completely dependent on someone to tell them what to like. not cool.
So I decided to make a web page about this in my spare time. I want to put some of the decency back into those who want to be original. hence, I would like to create a kind of an underground web of pages where people can show who they are and what they have to say. As to the name of this web, I haven't thought one up yet. I fear that in time the name itself will become "pop".
So. Fuck anyone who wants to be cool. Cool has become the most ridiculous word on earth. Nothing is cool anymore, nothing is original, everything is falling apart.
At this point, since I just started this page last night, I really have no idea how to start this thing off.
