Legend at Hogwarts says that there is a terrible feud between two of it's Houses: Gryffindor and Slytherin. The Gryffindor residents are certain that the Slytherins are shady, muggle-born hating, Dark wizards and witches. The Slytherins are convinced that the Gryffindors are a bragging, impetuous bunch of goody-goodies.
Unfortunately, two friends do not understand the emphasis on this feud before. They meet by chance and become fast friends, long before entering through Hogwarts doors, long before being split into the two Houses who wish nothing more than to see the other disappear. Rei, an insomniac muggle-born with a very special gift for Seeing enters the magic world and meets Bast Sanura, a pure-blood whose roots and magic stretch far back into Ancient Egypt.
The two young girls enter Hogwarts as a shadow has fallen, when futures are uncertain and safety is spread thin. Now that the wizarding world is aware of the return of the most feared sorcerer in history, it is once again separated into two kinds of people: the ones you can trust and the ones you can't. Could these two possibly bring unity to the two most competitive Houses?
And can they survive what horrors may be waiting for them in this dark time?
