Schematic of the bench that was built:
The height of the bench was set at 38" to match the height of my radial arm table saw. I picked 16' long because it was a good size to fill the space, left some room at the front, and was easily made by ripping the particle board top. The bench went up very nicely, and very secure.
I backed the bench with 2 sheets of pegboard on the wall. I chose the white to make the garage a little brighter. Lighting is still an issue, and I'm considering adding more overhead lights.
