(6) Andrinor: I'll cast it
(6) Andrinor: I'll do what I can
(6) Andrinor: doh
(5) DM: your boat has holes in teh sail that can be fixed
(5) DM: you row and sail, the halflings being experienced getting the easy rope-holding job
(5) DM: Ito even takes over at steering board for a few hours
(2) Kerrick: woo hoo
(5) DM: and you work unitl about noon
(5) DM: THe men and elves are beat from the 8 hours rowing
(5) DM: and happy to see the halflings waking up to take over again
** (6) Andrinor pulls the torn sail edges together and presses his fingers tightly over them. As he slides along the tear, the sail emerges as if it was never ripped **
(5) DM: you head to bed after a simple noon meal of pickled cod and stale bread
(2) Kerrick: nice trick
(5) DM: any special actions?
(6) Andrinor: "I know."
(1) Amrod: who needs healing?
(4) Ito: Aye that's a fine thing Andrinor... there's not a ship around that couldn't use those skills.
(4) Ito: Thankye Amrod, you've rendered me shipshape. Much appreciated.
(1) Amrod: Boombaata how are you feeling?
(5) DM: you rest, and take back over just after dusk
(5) DM: This routine continues for days
(3) Boombaata: I'm about 50%
(5) DM: rowing until you are exhausted, even with the current and teh wind
(5) DM: 3 days, you think
(5) DM: in this kind of labor, time starts to fade away
** (4) Ito continues to try to engage the halflings in conversation, especially the captain. **
(6) Andrinor: I'll keep healing whoever until we're there, or all healed up
(1) Amrod: me too
(5) DM: Ito gets ahold of the captain on the second day
(5) Captain: Aye?
(6) Andrinor: [2d8+5] -> [3,1,5] = (9)
(6) Andrinor: [1d8+5] -> [3,5] = (8)
(6) Andrinor: [2d8+5] -> [6,6,5] = (17)
(6) Andrinor: [1d8+5] -> [4,5] = (9)
(6) Andrinor: (two days)
(5) Captain: (The group gets all healed up - thanks)
(1) Amrod: [2d8+5] -> [2,8,5] = (15)
(4) Ito: A fine ship sir, and thank you for taking aboard our truc'lent cleric of Kronos. He's a handful.
(5) Captain: Strong as a bull, too
(6) Andrinor: ooc I'm not hearing this
(5) Captain: Not as good as that axe-weilding tatooed tribesman, though
(5) Captain: that's guy's as strong as a bantrhatrak!
** (3) Boombaata thanks Amrod and Andrinor for healing **
(5) Captain: (it's a small boat - there's no place not to hear)
(4) Ito: Har! Boombaata is a walking rock. He'll hold things put but don't ask him to swim!
(5) Captain: year
(5) Captain: yar
(5) Captain: (you all hear this)
** (3) Boombaata laughs **
(3) Boombaata: It's tough on the plains
(4) Ito: How long hav ye been in the great Lord Davar's service ser?
** (2) Kerrick thinks the captain sounds like my uncle... :/ **
(5) Captain: We here on this boat has been sailing for Enkidor for 2 years now
(4) Ito: Fine sailing I'd imagine, especially with these elves about... good silks? eh?
(5) Captain: The South Wind is a fine vessel, and we been running spices and such for the King for 2 years, aye
(4) Ito: ah
(5) Captain: silks from the north, spices from the south
(5) Captain: gold from all over!
(5) Captain: Lord Davar - I ain't met him until recent, like
(4) Ito: for the King, I see. Ya think the King or Davar will have need of our services now? I know he was a mite tweaked at the Kronos boy...
(5) Captain: 1 month, perhaps 2
(3) Boombaata: A sailor once told me that if you treat 'er well, she'll always bring you home.
(4) Ito: ah, I see...
** (6) Andrinor produces a ahndful of shimmering gold shavings and dumps them from hand to hand, "Would you like to relieve me of this weight, Captain?" **
(5) Captain: The captain nods appreciatively at the gold
** (6) Andrinor holds it out, "I have no need for it. You will get more use out of it than I." **
(5) Captain: Lord Davar was sent by the King to keep watch on his boy, the Prince Ramses
(2) Kerrick: Hey I could use that, Andrinor!
(4) Ito: ooc pulled the handle and it's bar bar bar!!!
(1) Amrod: That is very generous of you Andrinor
** (2) Kerrick smiles broadly at Andrinor and laughs **
** (6) Andrinor turns around to Kerrick and smiles **
(4) Ito: Ah, and now that Ramses has run off to certain death again?
(5) Captain: But we was told aside by Davar - Don't let the Prince get away from himself
(5) Captain: Ramses was mad with bloodlust
(5) Captain: now it seems he's got what that always gets men
(5) Captain: death
(4) Ito: aye?
(5) Captain: but this is bigger
(2) Kerrick: Ito, the Prince is very resilient
(5) Captain: I understand that orcs are coming
(2) Kerrick: ooc: I kant speel
(5) Captain: lots of orcs
(5) Captain: that's bad for trade
(5) Captain: it's bad for everyone
(4) Ito: all the orcs good cap'n
(4) Ito: aye
(5) Captain: all the orcs? Not good news
(5) Captain: they could overrun the whole of Akkadia
(6) Andrinor: "Hundreds...maybe even thousands."
(4) Ito: But thank Bahn they can't sail!!!
(5) Captain: then I'd have to go home to my 3 wives!
(4) Ito: oh you poor sod
(3) Boombaata: 3 wives!
(3) Boombaata: very nice!
** (2) Kerrick hurumphs at "thousands" **
(4) Ito: not to listen to!
(5) Captain: They crossed teh rivers to get into that jungle... they must got boats of some sort
(5) Captain: anyway...
(5) Captain: I'm rambling
(5) Captain: what else can I help you with?
** (6) Andrinor flicks another gold shaving from his pocket at Kerrick **
(5) Captain: I'm a busy man?
(4) Ito: Well, you haven't heard of a sighting lately of Shangri-bra have ye?
** (2) Kerrick catches the shaving **
(5) Captain: Nay, no Shangri-Bra... but that's where I met my second wife it is!
(4) Ito: I promised if we got out of the jungle, I'd take this lot there...
(4) Ito: Har!!!
(4) Ito: Thankye cap'n.
(2) Kerrick: ooc: haha
(5) DM: you sail on
(3) Boombaata: Haha
** (4) Ito leaves the captain be **
(6) Andrinor: ooc ARGH!! THat's a might funny, it is!
(5) DM: this third day ends
(2) Kerrick: Ito, that storm was not natural
(5) DM: and Davar calls a hault to the pace to meet with your boat
(4) Ito: No, 'twerent a bit natural. That' wasn't Bahn's hand by any stretch...
(5) DM: He pulls both boats aside after passign teh first village
(5) Davar: Men!
(5) Davar: We have reached teh edges of Marakredor
** (2) Kerrick nods **
(5) Davar: We'll rest tonight
(5) Davar: and tomorrow morning pull into port
(4) Ito: Oh a bit of ale would soothe this back soon enough...
(5) Davar: I mean to drop off Duke Ren and anyone else who wants to go
(5) Davar: Then be off in under an hour - no time for ale on shore
** (4) Ito to our boys: what of it? **
(6) Andrinor: ooc huh? what of what?
(5) Davar: I suggest that at least one of you elves goes to bring word of teh Scroll and the Orcs to the Elven Council
** (4) Ito follow Ren or go on? **
(5) Davar: If you want to go on, I plan to sail to White Ford, 2 more days down
(5) Davar: then Disembark
(4) Ito: ooc onward I say
(5) Davar: there, 2 days inland, going north, to the White Hills
(5) Davar: I must bring this Scroll to the Seer
(1) Amrod: My Lord, what is your plan with the scroll>
(5) Davar: I must bring this Scroll to the Seer
(1) Amrod: ahh
(2) Kerrick: I stay with the scroll
(5) Davar: Only She is strong enough to face what is within
(2) Kerrick: so I will follow you, Davar
(4) Ito: I follow my Bahneese brother
(3) Boombaata: I will go with you as well
(5) Davar: Very good - I was hoping as much
** (6) Andrinor nods, but says nothing **
(1) Amrod: Bestandri , send word to the Elven Council
(5) Davar: for I must also release most of these monks - I need them to continue on and bring word to Enkidor and teh King there
(5) Davar: Bestandri and Galrean will both go - as is the custom of elves to send 2 messengers
(1) Amrod: ooc magaritta gone, beer now
(6) Andrinor: ooc would you like to ride with Batman?
(1) Amrod: that will be fine
(5) Davar: Good... then we continue
(5) Davar: Davar then heads below decks, to sleep. He looks like he hasn't since you left
(5) Davar: night passes, this time anchored and peacefully
(5) Davar: in the morning, you set off, and reach Marakredor
(5) Davar: You anchor outside the harbor, and send launches in
(5) Davar: Duke Ren, the two elven rangers, and 2 monks get off
(5) Davar: Then launches return in half an hour with kegs of ale, fish, and fresh bread
(5) Davar: then you continue on
(2) Kerrick: I feel bad for the king... that's twice he's lost his son
(2) Kerrick: glad I'm not him
(5) DM: you sail on, again at a hard pace all day, but putting in anchor at night
(6) Andrinor: "Be glad you're not the fool that the King sets his sword upon."
(5) DM: About mid-afternoon on teh second day, you see the frothy white water of White Ford, and the tower-keep that guards teh locks on the south Bank
(5) DM: Davar poitns the boats to the north, and the village of North Ford
(5) DM: There, you disembark with him, and 3 monks
(5) DM: The old monk in the yellow robes is with you
(5) DM: Davar: "We will rest one night here, and provision. I have gold enough for what we need, as well as a pack horse to carry it all. Be ready at first light. I will book you a room in the main inn."
(5) DM: OOC - you have the afternoon free to look around. It is a small village, but has a good number fo merchants since it spans the fords
(5) DM: a good trading position between Enkidor and Marakredor, and along teh river
(5) DM: anything special you want to do - let me know in brief
(2) Kerrick: I'm off to find a magic shop
(5) DM: no time for drawn out RP
(2) Kerrick: need to ID some things
(6) Andrinor: ooc do I get my stuff back?
** (4) Ito lives it up with the two silvers he still has in pocket **
(2) Kerrick: [1d20+8] -> [10,8] = (18)
(6) Andrinor: I'd like to sell that which is just extra eqipment
(6) Andrinor: in brief
(1) Amrod: ooc didn't Andrinor Armor go overboard?
(5) DM: Andrinor's gear was secured below decks
(6) Andrinor: using zone of truth spell, and some gentle intimidation to get more
(6) Andrinor: more gold
(6) Andrinor: also, sell the leftover gold shavings
(5) DM: you find that the halfligns have many gold shavings
(5) DM: you have none
(5) DM: funny how that works
(6) Andrinor: thievery
(6) Andrinor: the rest still applies..I'd still like to work on selling the extra equipment and attempt to get good deals
(2) Kerrick: bring me along
(2) Kerrick: and Ito
(5) DM: what equipment
(5) DM: give me a list
(5) DM: you have 1 minute
(5) DM: then we move on
** (4) Ito sells 3 fine orcish knives that he's appraised **
(6) Andrinor: we never decided who was carrying what
** (4) Ito daggers really **
(4) Ito: ooc Loxdon warhammer's worth... 200gp I'd say.
(4) Ito: ooc what with no mana to power it...
(5) DM: ...
(5) DM: no list
(5) DM: no organization out of game
(5) DM: no ability to sell now
(3) Boombaata: ooc I hate loxodon warhammmer
(1) Amrod: ooc you guys suck
(6) Andrinor: I have teh list, I just don't know who has it
(4) Ito: I said 3 fine daggers
(5) DM: you waste the afternoon figuring out what to sell
(6) Andrinor: has what
(5) DM: ...
(5) DM: night comes
(4) Ito: I am selling 3 fine daggers
(4) Ito: dumbasses
(5) DM: you get 8 gold for teh 3 daggers
(1) Amrod: heh
(5) DM: from a dwarven merchant
(4) Ito: fine
(5) DM: night comes
(5) DM: morning comes
(5) DM: you set out at first light
(5) DM: Davar leads you north, along an old wagon road that is well overgrown
(5) DM: it winds up through fields
(5) DM: then into low hills
(5) DM: pasture and grasslands beyond farms near the river
(5) DM: you pass a few men on horses herding some cattle
(5) DM: then a couple shephers with their flocks
(5) DM: and finally, out to the lands where none go
(5) DM: the empty lands forgotten after the Fen Wars 20 years ago
(5) DM: Davar explains about it when you make camp that night
(5) DAVAR: These were once all green and verdant
(5) DAVAR: used by men to raise wheat and olives
(5) DAVAR: sheep and cattle
(5) DAVAR: but we lost so many men in the Fen Wars
(5) DAVAR: boys from every village - nearly 1 out of 3
(5) DAVAR: that now, the lands are forgotten
(5) DAVAR: left behind
(5) DAVAR: and men cling to the rivers
(5) DAVAR: and towns
(5) DAVAR: and safety
** (6) Andrinor stops briefly to look around **
(5) DAVAR: in the south it is better - they were not so badly set upon when the goblins came
(5) DAVAR: But with the force that is coming
** (3) Boombaata looks around as well **
(5) DAVAR: led by that Brutish orc chief
(5) DAVAR: I fear greatly
(5) DAVAR: In White Ford I heard news about tribesmen herders coming east
(3) Boombaata: Do you think they will come through the Fatherlands?
(5) DAVAR: this is how it started last time
(3) Boombaata: My family.....
(5) DAVAR: the orcs pushed the tribesmen, and they came first raiding and taking
(5) DAVAR: we thought it was simple raids, and just sent a few soldiers
(5) DAVAR: but the orcs and goblins were not far behind
(5) DAVAR: they killed our best by outnumbering them
(5) DAVAR: then stormed across the lands
(5) DAVAR: they seiged Marakredor and Enkidor
(5) DAVAR: and burned half the lands from here to Tazrodor
(5) DAVAR: But eventually the men of teh south rallied
(5) DAVAR: and the men of the north sacrificed
(5) DAVAR: and we turned them back
** (6) Andrinor nods, listening and staring out at the dead plains. **
(5) DAVAR: they were too strung out
(5) DAVAR: and that is where they failed
(5) DAVAR: I bet that their memory is better this time
(5) DAVAR: those ambushes... even I did not see them coming
(5) DAVAR: cunning like I have never heard of from a stupid orc
(5) DAVAR: I fear for all our lands
(5) DM: the Monks listen stoicly to this
(5) DM: then the old one with the yellow robes speaks
(5) DM: "Our Oracle said much teh same"
(5) DM: "The Oracle saw it in the clouds - the doom of teh second age"
(5) DM: "And so we came to see. Now I see we must retrurn, and prepare to come to fight"
(5) DM: The campfire burns on
(5) DM: and none have more to say
(6) Andrinor: "Grak....the chief's name was Grak. When I was help prisoner as a child by the first raiding parties during the Fen Wars, I was kept in Grak's camp. YOu are correct, and he is unlike the other orcs."
(5) DM: Davar is interested
(5) DM: "Go on"
** (2) Kerrick listens **
(3) Boombaata: I have heard of this Grak as well
(5) DM: FYI - The old monk in Yellow is "Grand Master Masikoto"
** (6) Andrinor looks like he's about to say more, but screws his face up with confusion, "I wish I could remember more details. He was by far the most capable and intelligent leader that the orcs had. Most others were mindless, but Grak and his officers were more organized." **
(5) DM: FYI - The other two are younger, in green robes, and named "Kisak" and "Miso"
(5) Davar: he sounds like a terror
(5) Davar: What of teh Goblins and the Giants?
(6) Andrinor: "I never was around him much, but I saw from time to time, and I heard the other orcs bantering stupidly about how great he was and how the orcs would overtake all under his command.
(5) Davar: Are they with him?
(4) Ito: ooc heh, Miso... I'll call him soupy
(6) Andrinor: "The goblins were treated like slaves, but they are with him, I'm sure. He'll be smart enough to use them in battle. The giants....were rarely seen. THey seemed to want nothing but fair trade."
(5) Davar: The old books speak of teh giants like that
(5) Davar: As wise and honorable
(5) Davar: but terrible in battle
(6) Andrinor: "I doubt that they will be very excited to see orcs gain power over the world, though.."
(5) Davar: let's hope you are right
(5) Davar: We should rest - it is late, and we have a long march tomorrow
** (6) Andrinor smiles and bows his head, "The giants are true to their friends, but merciless to their enemies." **
(5) DM: you sleep
(5) DM: you wake
(5) DM: you walk
(1) Amrod: as you wish
(5) DM: more empty plains
(5) DM: you pass abandoned farm houses from time to time, 20 years overgrown
(5) DM: old orchards choked with vines
(5) DM: and eventually come into view of teh while hills
(5) DM: they are seen from miles away
(5) DM: a white bluff, a good 700 feet tall above teh surrounding hills
(5) DM: with a green paradise at the top
(5) DM: elves live here, as Davar exmplains
(5) DM: and they guard the Seer
(5) DM: who is embued wtih all the wisdom of teh ages of men
(5) DM: you approach
(5) DM: elves come out to meet you as you reach teh forests at teh foot of teh hill
(5) DM: they speak a strange dialect of elvish, rather archaic, but you make yourselves understood
(5) DM: Davar explains and shows them the book, and they run ahead to prepare
(5) DM: you reach teh foot of teh bluff, and climb a ladder to a notch some 50 feet up in teh wall
(5) DM: then up switchback staircases for hundred of more feet, stopping twice to rest
(5) DM: by sundown, you are at the top
(5) DM: There, the Seer waits
(5) DM: she is a very attractive woman, well formed in all ways
(5) DM: with a simple white dress covering her body
(6) Andrinor: ooc are there any girls there?
** (4) Ito tries not to gape **
(5) DM: a white band of cloth also covers her eyes, blindfolding her
(6) Andrinor: ooc oh good. She wont' see us ogling her
(5) DM: She turns her head to each of you in turn
(5) Seer: "Lord Davar, it is good that you return"
(5) Seer: "And Master Kerrick, you as well are a pleasant surprise"
** (2) Kerrick nods to The Seer **
** (3) Boombaata bows before the Seer **
** (4) Ito quietly: Jammy bugger... **
(5) Seer: "Your friends are well met too
** (4) Ito bows deep **
(5) Seer: Andrinor of the Mighty God
(5) Seer: Ito the Sailor
** (1) Amrod bows **
** (6) Andrinor smiles and bows **
(5) Seer: Amrod Yohondus, student of teh Lestrien Sabient!
(2) Kerrick: ooc: Ito the sailor.. simple title :)
(5) Seer: Jordan Fallow of teh Great God above
(4) Ito: ooc: misbegotten noblespawn...
(5) Seer: And the Powerful Boombaata of Clan Bear
(5) Seer: You are all welcome
(5) Seer: Please, follow me
(2) Kerrick: OOC: 10gp says she wants Boombaata
** (2) Kerrick follows **
(5) Seer: ...The seer leads you to a small house not far away. It is built into and between the trunks of 3 trees that over the years have grown to make the structure, or teh structure makes them.
(4) Ito: all follow
(5) Seer: She then leads you through doors, and into a wide room betraying the size of teh building
(6) Andrinor: ooc nah...she's drawn to teh dark side
(5) Seer: at teh center is a circle drawn on teh ground, in golden dust
(5) Seer: the room is dark, but the gold dust gleams in the candlelight
(5) Seer: Davar - the book!
(5) Seer: Davar hands it over, and she proceeds into the circle
(5) Seer: then finishes one small arc that was incomplete
(5) Seer: and a shining golden wall rises around her and teh book
(5) Seer: "I have sealed myself into this circle of protection"
(5) Seer: "I hope to contain that devil that lives within this book"
** (2) Kerrick hopes it does, too **
(5) Seer: "And battle it to the end"
(5) Seer: "By stopping teh devil, I can stop the prophesy, I hope"
(5) Seer: "For without the scroll, teh blood crown cannot be activated, and teh blood reign will be averted"
(5) DM: Davar and teh Monks nod along, as though they're watching a movie they've seen before
** (6) Andrinor starts to wonder if he could have brought about the reign of Kronos with the other demon...hmm... **
(5) DM: The Seer removes her blindfold, and unties the book
(5) DM: She's stunningly beautiful, you can now see
(6) Andrinor: ooc Jordan's frog pes in Jordan's pocket
** (2) Kerrick hopes there is a contingency plan in place **
(5) DM: So much so, Ito wishing he wasn't standing in front of Boombaata... stupid bump on back of head...
(6) Andrinor: ew
(5) DM: The seer opens the book
(5) DM: a black mist pours out
(5) DM: black, then red like blood
(3) Boombaata: ooc hahaah
(5) DM: and a shape rises up, cautiously, from the pages within
(5) DM: it is a shadowy, formless shape
(5) DM: red as new-spilled blood
(5) DM: The Seer begins to chant in strange tongues, speaking a chorus of voices all at once
(6) Andrinor: ooc I love a woman with an accent
(5) DM: the demon begins to chant back, a terrible orchestral sound of pain and screaming anguish
(5) DM: The demon begins to grow louder, and rise up over the seer
(5) DM: reaching out with red fog arms to embrace her
(5) DM: as it does, the Seer changes and speaks a single word
(5) DM: "Release!"
(5) DM: and a white fog rises from her
(6) Andrinor: ooc good dog
(5) DM: it smothers the red one, and teh two swirl and battle in a pink mist
(5) DM: The book below begins to smoke
(5) DM: then catches aflame
(5) DM: fire bursting out
** (2) Kerrick tries to read anythngint he book before it's gone **
(5) DM: then the wind changes, and starts to blow INTO the pages
(5) DM: sucking in the essence of all around
(5) DM: the red mist
(5) DM: the white mist
(5) DM: the golden wall even begins to flicker and weaken
(5) DM: all but the Seer, who sits serenely by, chanting
** (2) Kerrick lgrabs onto something solid **
(5) DM: you feel the wind even across teh room, as tables and chairs begin to slide forward
(5) DM: as teh gold wall collapses and is sucked in, the book consumes itself and is sucked into a single point of nothingness
(5) DM: and it is gone
** (6) Andrinor pulls out his holy symbols and drapes them over his robes, but stands his ground **
(5) DM: as is the wind
(5) DM: and the intense cold you felt all around teh room
(5) Seer: THe seer looks at you with her own eyes
(5) Seer: her robes are now a pale grey
(5) Seer: and her eyes a sharp blue
(5) Seer: "It is done, and teh Scroll is destroyed"
(2) Kerrick: ooc: she's back on the market, boys
(6) Andrinor: ooc let me wash those robes for you
** (1) Amrod sees Elladan eye Jordon's toad **
(6) Andrinor: :nods
** (6) Andrinor nods **
** (2) Kerrick sighs in relief **
(4) Ito: ooc what color were her eyes before?
(5) DM: he assitant gets up and offers her a fresh blindfold
(5) DM: (Her eyes were palest blue before)
(5) DM: She takes teh blindfold and looks at it
(5) DM: "Grey"
(5) DM: "There is no need any more"
(5) DM: "The White has left me"
(5) DM: "All is now faded"
** (6) Andrinor looks at the others, not knowing anything about this Seer woman **
(5) DM: The monks kneel, facing teh seer, hands pressed together and in deep prayers
(2) Kerrick: I am sorry, Seer. *kneels*
(5) DM: Davar looks about ready to cry
** (1) Amrod kneels before the great Seer **
(4) Ito: Hadalad...
(4) Ito: Hadalad my lord.
(5) SEER: Hadalad indeed, Ito
(5) SEER: Get up,
(5) SEER: I am not holy any more
(5) SEER: I am just Charla
** (6) Andrinor is confused, "But who will now take your place?" **
(5) CHARLA: But it is the sacrifice that the gods made as well
(5) CHARLA: There is no more seer
(2) Kerrick: ooc: lol!! haladad
(4) Ito: m' apol'gies *to the Seer Charla*
(5) CHARLA: Let me explain...
(5) CHARLA: The first age is as teh legends said
(5) CHARLA: Gods walked teh earth with men in the perfection of teh first kingdom
(5) CHARLA: but our language does not wrap around that well
(5) CHARLA: PEOPLE walked with GODS, is perhaps better
(5) CHARLA: each people walked with their god
(5) CHARLA: And they worshiped their gods, and the Five Eternals
(5) CHARLA: An, Ki, Nar, Arast and Merest
(5) CHARLA: Then the 7 gods of the peoples
(5) CHARLA: Elves and teh God Shamash
(5) CHARLA: Giants and the God Kronos
(5) CHARLA: Dwarves and teh god Gron
(5) CHARLA: Halflings and teh God Baahn
(5) CHARLA: Goblins and the god Olgdrok
(5) CHARLA: Men and the god Metabke
(5) CHARLA: and finally, the youngest - Orcs and teh god Gruumsh
(5) CHARLA: all was well in the first kingdom
(5) CHARLA: but outside, the peoples strove and warred
(5) CHARLA: Orcs allied with Goblins and began to fight the others
(5) CHARLA: And so an alliance was formed by the gods of order and goodness
(5) CHARLA: ... and by that, I mean either order or goodness
(5) CHARLA: for orcs and goblins were opposed to both
(5) CHARLA: Men, Elves, Dwarves, giants (she winks and Andrinor) and halflings banded togther
(5) CHARLA: as did Shamash, Gron, Baahn, Metabke, and Kronos
(5) CHARLA: There was a war to end all wars
(5) CHARLA: a war to end the first age
(5) CHARLA: and banish all peoples from the first kingdom
(5) CHARLA: The alliance was successful, but only by removing themselves from this plain
(5) CHARLA: because the gods are all linked, all brothers, the five made the great sacrifice to draw out the other two
(5) CHARLA: and thus, the 7 gods of the peoples left the mortal plain, and we peoples were driven from the First Kingdom
(5) CHARLA: We travelled out in all directions then
(5) CHARLA: Orcs settling in what is now Tribesman lands
(5) CHARLA: Humans along the two rivers
(5) CHARLA: Elves in teh forests to the north
(5) CHARLA: Dwarves in the mountains
(5) CHARLA: Halflings in the lush isles of Baahn
(5) CHARLA: and Goblins in the hills to the south, and the forests there as well
(5) CHARLA: Giants took place in the hills between the rivers, in what is now Three Kings
(5) CHARLA: And time moved on
(5) CHARLA: memory faded away
(5) CHARLA: as happens when an age passes and dies
(5) CHARLA: Men forgot the alliance with the Giants, and went to war on them, driving them out
(5) CHARLA: Elves forgot the deals, and moved south against the goblins in the rich forest lands there
(5) CHARLA: Men from Baahn, who had forsaken their god and joined up with the halfling god Baahn, went west adn fought orcs bitterly to gain those table lands
(5) CHARLA: they went on to rename their god "Kord", meaning "The strength of teh storm"
** (4) Ito grins **
(5) CHARLA: Orcs and Goblins and GIants were driven beyond teh lush lands of Akkadia, and into the wilds
(5) CHARLA: and time continued to move on
(5) CHARLA: this is where memory begins
(5) CHARLA: even the elves do not remember before this time
(5) CHARLA: books faded and died off, losing this knowledge with them
(5) CHARLA: only a few things survived to tell this tale
(5) CHARLA: "The Tomb of Mortal Knowledge" was one
(5) CHARLA: it was held within The White, the servant spirit of the One god on Men, Metabke
(5) CHARLA: Again, this is an example of where memory failed
(5) CHARLA: The scriptures of history some of you may know
(5) CHARLA: "Men set out after the first age, and populated the lands under teh banners of the seven gods"
(5) CHARLA: Men broke the name of their god into seven
(5) CHARLA: M-E-T-A-B-K-E
(5) CHARLA: Marakre, Enki, Tazro, Apro, Baro, Kenathi, and Espa
(5) CHARLA: memory forgotten
(5) CHARLA: And it will fade from me as well, now that The White has left me
(5) CHARLA: The first prophesy has been stopped
(5) CHARLA: but there are two more we must still worry about

(4) Ito (exit): 21:58
(5) CHARLA: we're having some technical difficulties here
(5) CHARLA: getting into emails with the notes
(5) CHARLA: Amrod recites the three prophesies
(5) CHARLA: THe first is about the blood crown, as you have already heard from Balathsar
(5) CHARLA: The second and third are more obscure, about the ends of teh age and so on...
(1) Amrod: first is
(1) Amrod: Red skies above all
(1) Amrod: Dead and living bow to one

(1) Amrod: Five and seven to one
(1) Amrod: Third Age will begin
(5) CHARLA: Charla nods and goes on -
(5) CHARLA: As you can see
(5) CHARLA: there is more we have to worry about then just this Blood Reign
(5) CHARLA: And there are mysteries that I simply do not know the answer to
(5) CHARLA: We shoudl retire... it is late
(5) CHARLA: And I, for one, am hungry

(5) DM: as the night weas on, you find yourselves sitting at a table, refreshing with some of the sweet elven wine
(2) Kerrick: *sip*
(5) DM: an old elf, looking 90 in human years, canes his way forward
(5) DM: "So Kerrick, did you ever figure out my riddles?"
(5) DM: It is Jozan, the old wizard
(6) Andrinor: "Riddles are a noble practice, old elf."
(5) DM: Aye... young one
(2) Kerrick: Jozan! Well met. How have been fairing. I'm glad to inform you that I have indeed figured out your riddles.
(5) DM: When is a door not a door?
(6) Andrinor: "When it's a jar!"
(5) JOZAN: That is good, because I don't even think I remember the answers

(5) JOZAN: A jar... ha!
** (6) Andrinor stands to greet Jozan and pleasantries and such **
** (3) Boombaata gives a confused lok **
(5) JOZAN: pleasantries all around
(2) Kerrick: Riddles that rely on intimate knowledge of a foreign language are the most difficult
** (6) Andrinor adds... **
(6) Andrinor: "But the least appreciated when solved."
(5) JOZAN: actually it taught me more then you'd know
(5) JOZAN: but that's deep talk for this night
