The Nation is a large, technologically and socially advanced nation. The people enjoy the many benefits of living in a social system, where the government takes care of nearly everything. Big business is not permitted to take advantage of our citizens.
The people have occupied this land for over 1000 years, having originally migrated east, leaving the hostile west behind them. Originally living together in separate clans, a united nation was founded in 1207AD.
Various forms of government have prevailed over the last 1000yrs, from tribal, feudal, dictatorships to democracies. A recent coup d'état saw the capitalist leader Carl Van Steele and his group of corrupt, corporate whores overthrown. The new leader, Charl
Tesla installed a dictatorship for a period of 2 years while he restructured the entire government and private sector. All key infrastructure was nationalised. He then handed power to his daughter, Astral, who ruled the Nation since as an autocracy for 38 years bfore handing power to her more liberal sister Jeyna, who immediatly unbanned opposition political parties and held a snap election, where her ruling National Socialist Party had a landslide victory, receiving 83% of the votes.
After 17 years in office, her daughter, Jeyna II, ran for office and won in a landslide 87% victory. Voting apathy increased after this election, leading to President Jeyna II re-shuffling her government. The outcome is a benevolent dictatorship, accepted by the majority.
A mix of cultures live together in harmony and enjoy equal benefits in all aspects of life. Modern life sees ancient buildings preserved, standing alongside tall modern skyscapers in our cities.
The Colony of AlphaTau, Mega Tau's outpost in the Tau Ceti System, is where you will find our Space Research HQ and first colony.
Today Mega Tau is a mostly socialist country, where the government is making great progress in social, political and economic reforms. A watchful eye is kept on the private sector.
