You are buying an EGR Limiter fitting commonly called the EGR "Mod" for 1996-2001 4.3L V-6 engines (262ci) in s-10/sonoma/hombre pickups and blazer/jimmy/bravada SUVS and any other vehicles equipped with the 4.3L V6 engine ranging from 1996-2001 and ALL 1996-up full size trucks equipped with the 4.3L V6 engine. This fitting also fits on some older gen 1996-up 350 V8s. This fitting limits the amount of hot EGR (Exhaust Gas Re-circulation) gas that is injected back into your engine allowing for a cooler air intake charge and an overall increase in throttle response. Horsepower gains usually range in the neighborhood of 5-10hp depending on other modifications already performed on the engine. This fitting also helps by reducing carbon buildup, which will add longer life to your EGR valve and reduce the amount of carbon buildup in your engine.
