The Mun’ya-Réib
By Iggersen

Originality: Originality? THIS is originality! This is the first site of it's kind that I believe anyone has ever seen on the Internet! Instead of the boring old "Redwall Abbey"'s out there or "Terremort Isles" or "Salamandastrons" this site actually has a unique name and place. The Reib is completely submerged underwater, easily accessed by dugongs, manatees, otters, and the like, but others must wear nifty bubble devices. Sadly, there aren't many original activities. There are the poems, stories, recipes, and other things found on most other sites. However, Ringet Loris is the only loris that I have ever met on the ROC, and I've been many places around our community!

Creativity: This site is a very original site in its turn, which means that it also has to be creative in its turn. Mun'ya Reib contains much of Ringi's work, and The Bubble Machine makes the members actually think! Scary thought. There's not much else besides that, but she does have very creative art. Very creative. Besides all that, the design is not all that different from many other sites around the web, so...

Updates: Last time I sent in a story, the very next time I looked, the points were given out. As far as anybeast can tell, the loris updates as frequently as she can, but, seeing as there aren't very many active members, this isn't very much to her credit. Still...

Navigability: Ringet has placed the links in a Frame for the "Frames" version (Wonder why that is...), and on the left for the "No Frames" version, just like many other Redwall sites out there. Even so, the links work perfectly well, except for on the fish training area. None of the links to the fish work there, and after you've already gone to an area in the Reib, the links turn a color where some of them are not easily noticed.

Effort: EFFORT!!!!! This site was definitely created by someone who puts her effort into it! This site has many activities which must have taken *a long time* to build, and they are definitely worth anybeast's while to visit them. If you look at all the links there, that gives you a definite idea as how much effort she put into this. But some of the links don't work and the messageboards could use a little cleaning up though...

Activities: On Mun'ya Reib, there are activities galore! There's a bubble machine (Though it's not finished yet....), three contests at the moment, recipes, fish training, a battle board... the list goes on and on (Unfortunately, my brain is on a go-slow, so I can't think of the rest.) Then again, these activities are the normal Redwall club activities and some of the activities don't work as well as they could.

Achievement: Ringet has not gotten everything up that she wants to get up. She wants to finish the Bubble Quest, play around with the html and overall design, and make more activities. Not that it needs anymore. Mun-ya Reib has changed four loads since two years ago from what Ringet Loris tells me! But it's a wonderful site now, for all the changes it's been through.

Initial Impression: When you first arrive at Mun-ya Reib you see a big picture of a jellyfish like thing with the words "Mun'ya Reib-Home of the Brave" printed on it and right below it, the words "WELCOME, MATEYS!" blare out at you while bubbles float up around them. This gives you a wonderful impression of how the site is gonna be! If you don't continue into the site after seein' all this, you must be a crazy dugong! The design on the front page is wonderful and with the art and cool little bubble effect, you can tell this site is gonna be good!

Legibility: Ringet has typed up everything in a readable fashion. Unfortunately (for people without DSL) I can't tell if the graphics or the site take a long time to load. I have DSL. *sticks tongue at non-DSL furres* Live with it, people. Some of the links, when you've already clicked on them, turn a funny color that's hard to read what with the background. Ringet does not have a problem with spelling or grammar with this site. As far as I can tell. The R? isn't *too* cluttered, as the specifications say, but there are a lot of activities, but the table with these in it is sorted out very well. The forms work, seeing as I'm a member. :) (I used the forms)

Atmosphere: Mun'ya Reib is one of those places that when you e-mail the webmistress, you feel a kind of contentment with what your doing. That's how nice Ringet is. However, the messageboard is horribly unused and could use a little lightening up. (hint, hint, nudge, nudge, wink, wink) But when it is used, there is rarely any fighting and everone gets along, since the furres her are really nice!!! Especially that dugong guy. He's a really nice furre.
