The Lullaby of Love
the days they did pass and a darkness came over the land.she knew it was only a matter of time before her Knight would gather His army of men and ride off,leaving her to help the people of His land. she watched as He grew weary and impatient and said a silent prayerthat all would come to pass and her Knight could remain here with her.
He came to her as she slept, awakening her with a soft kiss upon her lips.she knew why He had come, she knew He would leave her this night.He looked into her eyes, no words exchanged, none were needed.He held her close to Him as the tears ran silently down her face.He kissed her long and passionately and then He rose to His feet.as He reached the door to T/their bedroom, He turned, looked at her once more and said,"Before the hour glass empties 100 times, thy Knight shall return to you, my lady fair."she looked at Him with pleading eyes but in her heart she knew He could not stay. she managed a soft smile andbegan to sing a lullaby of love. she heard Him join in with His words of wisdom and love as He reached for His armor.He was gone, but not forgotten.His words they did stay with her, He would return and once againT/they would sing T/their lullaby of Love.
