Turkeys
Mood:  incredulous
Topic: On the Hunt
so this is a blog , back in the eighties we called them something else but i forget what . Look at that Chow Chow , he is a Huntin ' son of a gun, he is a natural tracker and i am going to put in the turkey tail/tale , sometime . all things considered i'd rther be in the woods with the chow , on the hunt , on the trail .

so finally i post the turkey story, the boyo was 2 years old , spent his life at show and in the kennel,he had only just arrived and we went into the wild woods ,the federal woods , Fort Dondelson TN , on the ride there he looked at a turkey feather in the cabin, looked, smelled , so we walked , he was loose , then he dashed away from the trail , he went this way , that way around and around ,, up the hill he went . old thing I huffed and puffed after 3/4 an hour we ran he gallumping me hollering WHOA CHOW .. finally he was going slow , i ever so slow huffing and puffing at a slow walk the both of us .. and there before us in the thicket , a flock of 8-10 turkey became aware we approached and moved away .. we were so tired we only panted and looked ,,
remarkable , i think , a kennel boy , looked at the feather , smelled the feather , identified the scent on the trail and tracked them to the high thicket where they dwelled .
