Carthage was founded some 500b.c. by the Phoenicians and quickly rose to power by trade and limited military conflicts. After three devastating wars against the romans called the punic wars Carthage was razed to the ground. The most famous of the Carthaginian generals were called Hannibal Barca and fought during the second punic war. His army consisted of mercenaries from all over the mediterranian. In his campaign alone 250,000 romans is estimated to have died. Now a New Carthage has arisen on Neveron!
