BBB2 is now up and ready for players to begin playing. Pick a country
number 1-16, and login and claim it. All country setups are identical
(for fairness). Only one country per player is permitted (checked
and enforced!), but you are allowed to co-rule (more than one player
per country).

First update is Thursday December 1st, at 9:30pm (EST). Updates are
every 24 hours, with some misc breaks and breaks for the holidays.

This is an informal game similar in style to the Uncle Bob series of
monthly games from the '98ish timeframe, so have fun. I'll take
snapshots every 5 updates and make basic maps and graphs like BBB1.

Here's what's special about this game:

1) You get 4 starting santuaries, so you have 4000 civs and lots of
mobility to get off to a quick start. Flat resources. Countries
start with a loaded ART unit.
 CIV's have a 20% growth rate, and pay $0.50/update.
  UW's have a 10% growth rate, and pay $0.01/update.

2) The map is pretty small at 80x60 with 16 countries.
  NO_FORT_FIRE is enabled.
  MARKET is disabled.
  EASY_BRIDGES is disabled.

3) Players start at tech 65. Tech log base is 5.00, with 60% all bleed.

4) Terminator is back, protector of all expansion territory.

5) BBB2 is using the special "semi-hidden" mod/code, where all digit
characters in the power chart for the other countries are replaced
 with "?" characters.

6) BBB2 will run for 30 updates or until someone wins after successfully
 declaring victory, whichever comes first.

7) The deity is hereby saying all N/A's are null and void in this game.
This is an all out slugfest. Backstabbing is encouraged. It's an
informal game, and by playing in this game you accept the terms and
conditions that you are not permitted to hold grudges or contempt for
other players if you enter into such said N/A contracts and are violated.
You can make friends and allies and use treaties, but just be fore-warned
that you are expected to play dirty, and feel free to backstab at any time
with no repercussions. It's a "brawl", remember?

Have Fun!

Dr Placebo here. I'd just like to point out how important
chemicals are to your brain, body, and spirit. Without
the proper amounts of the proper chemicals, you could suffer
from depression, fatigue, or, in the case of our esteemed
deity, extreem sexual dysfunction. So let's take a moment
to thank the people, industries, and institutions that produce
the chemicals we need. I'm talking about the Pfisers,
Johns Hopkins, urban crank kitchens, and rural meth labs
that keep us going when we don't want to excercise,
eat right, and listen to Larwence Welk.

thanks you Chemicals. Thanks you very much

We still got 5 countries open. Tell your friends to come and play!
Unbroken countries will be removed after the second update.

Country #11, formerly known as "11" has gotten a name change to "Eleven".

> Announcement from ChemicalImbalance, (#9) dated Fri Dec 02 18:27:53 2005
You know, I get patients in my officie everyday asking
me "Dr. Placebo, I want to stay healthy. But I want
to eat something that tastes good. What's a good
healthy snack?"

I always answer them by saying chemicals are very
important to your body. So a good dose of chemicals
is good for you. Try making one of Dr. Placebo's
famous root beer floats.

First, use three big scoops of generic chocolate ice
cream. chocolate has more chemicals in than boring
vanilla and the generic stuff has a good long laundry
list of good things in that Ben & Freakin Jerry
would never put in their product. Now, instead of
root beet, use real beer. (I shouldn't have to explain
myself here.) Finally, get a can of Redi-whip and
put some whipped cream on top. Then take the can of
Redi-whip and hold it pointing up and spray into your
mouth. That's a nearly straight blast of nitrous oxide,
one of the best chemicals known to man.

So this is Dr. Placebo reminding you to keep a few

Soon the game will get interesting... what does Bungy have in store for us? I can
only imagine that since we start at high tech that we will be facing similarly
nasty stuff. So who's planning on making tech? I guess we gotta, at least to
get to F2s, MBs, and CALs. But then HATs, AS planes, and Bridge Towers are
useful too, not to mention the extended sonar ranges. Speaking of which, good
luck getting any ships past my country these next few updates, subs will rule the
seas. You have been wraned!

re: theHand falls asleep...

I heard about this technique! It's called "The Stranger". Here's how it works:
You sit on your hand for like 10+ minutes until it gets all numb and whatnot,
then you go and wank with that hand and it feels like somebody else is doing it.

> Announcement from ChemicalImbalance, (#9) dated Fri Dec 02 23:21:13 2005
Bungy,

I might recommend you get a hold of some Diazepam or Pentobarbitol.

Sitting on your hand that long and often can lead to Carpal Tunnel

Today, on RipLee's Bulemics or Not:

ChemicalImbalance - Definitely Bulemics. Anyone on this many meds
has got to have ulcers the size of quarters, and needs the release.

Serenity - Not. There is peace in the commode in her house.

Eleven - Not. But then there's the matter of hugging the bowl
after a binge drinking night, but we won't get into *that* here.

Bully - Not. But he's got more tattoo's than M.J. has nose jobs.

PromisedLand - Not. Dreams of the forbidden fruits, while
suckling the teat of the bovine itself.

> Announcement from Bungholio, (#0) dated Tue Dec 06 22:45:03 2005
WarPigs - Not. Anyone with this kind of a k3wl name does not
 intentionally yack perfectly good food.

Peaceman - Bulemic. Usually right before the vegan tree hugging summit,
due to guilt for eating a pizza made with non-organic cheese

theHand - Bulemic. Yacks so much per day, that you can count them
 on one hand.

moon - Not. moon is into excessive home enema procedures.

Loki - A part-time Bulemic. He keeps it low-key.

Glue - Not. Sniff, Sniff.

> Announcement from ChemicalImbalance, (#9) dated Tue Dec 06 22:48:41 2005

It has come to our attention that several "news" groups are reporting that ChemicalImbalance's
success in being the first to 100 sectors is somehow "tainted" by our use of DMAE and
that our skillz are being artificially enhanced by this so called mind steriod.

I, Dr. Lihium, firmly deny all such alligations and insist that any DMAE found during
recent drug tests was the result of a spiked drink, tainted shot or just plain ignorance
on my behalf. Feel free to use whatever excuse you are most likely to believe. I remain
committed to the new Empire Drug Testing program even though it has cut into our profits
here at the Center for the Chemically Imbalanced.

I hope that this helps clear up any thoughts you might have that our success is anything
close to natural.

Now if you don't mind we have a few clinical trials to conduct on some Moon "volunteers"

Here in northern Maryland, we are forcast to get a nasty ice storm
on Thursday. I may lose power, and if that occurs, then the game will

Lets take a closer look at few holiday favorites.

Twas the night before christmas,
and all through the house
Not a creature was stiring
Not even a mouse

Yep thats Chemicals at work for ya. I'd say thats a good rat killer at work.

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose
and if you ever saw it you would even say it glows.

Hmmm possible radiation problem, but more then likely it our old friend Chemicals

And as for Jolly old Saint Nick, No way the guy goes around the world in one night
on just black coffee. No way dude is getting a little help from our old friend Chemicals.

So as we celebrate this most joyous of holidays, lets all remember the important
role Chemicals play in it. Without Chemicals where would we be.

Have a Joyous Holiday and a Happy New Year.

Sincerely,
Dr. L

> Announcement from Serenity, (#14) dated Sat Dec 24 23:38:52 2005
It wuz the night before Christmas and all through the land.
The bullets were flying, the feet hitting the sand.

Nations were falling, victors struck up the band.
Others were bawling, like Loki, Glue and theHand.

PromisedLand and moon, in power fell from sight.
Other looked for hope on the cold winters night.

Six nations were left, and in order were quite grand.
Bully, ChemicalImbalance, Serenity, Eleven, WarPigs & Peaceman.

Bully was living up to his name.
He as in good shape to win this game.

CI was in second really quite powerful.
But money he lacked and needed a barrelful.

Serenity was thrid and looking for a fight.
But couldn't decide was would be just right.

Eleven was fourth with units quite flush.
But to launch an attack, seemed to be in no rush.

WarPigs was fifth and suffered recent losses.
But has strong defenses intellegent bosses.

Peaceman was in sixth, last of those that remain.
If I could find him, I would deal him some pain.

And Bungy was off with Santa is his sled.
What happened there is better left unsaid.

And as their sled was flying out of sight.
I heard them yell, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good fight!

Join the alliance and take a stand,
stand up to Bully, strike up the band.

Strip his air cover and smash his banks,
send in your ships, planes and tanks.

Half his forces he has sent at me,
the rest thinly spread must be.

So poke and prod and do much damage,
try real hard and we can win this scrimmage.

I will resist until the end,
but please you must your forces send!

So it seems we have a victory declaration
and at least one who opposes it, so the game
continues.

Arise ye fellow citizens!
The day of glory has arrived...

Rise up, brave citizens! In battle order march!
Let's march! Let's march! May our land with tainted blood be soaked!

What do they seek, this horde of slaves,
This gang of traitors and of kings?
Who do they mean to keep in chains,
Clap in irons so long-prepared?

> Announcement from WarPigs, (#1) dated Thu Dec 29 01:39:22 2005

What! shall such barbarian swarms
Impose their rule upon our homes?
What! shall hirelings of foreign powers
Bring down our proud sons and daughters?

Hmmm Seems the only news of fighting is between Bully and me. So much for the "uprising"

There are only 5 updates left. Now is the
time for backstabbing. Don't let the endgame
be boring. What better way to celebrate the
New Year than a nice surprise attack!!!

> Announcement from Bungholio, (#0) dated Fri Dec 30 07:51:32 2005
This would be a good topic for discussion. BBB2, being an informal style
game, has a pre-declared end point of 30 updates. Who wins and who don't
win are not the point of this setup, the purpose of an informal style game
is to just play empire (in my opinion). That's why I added that backstabbing
feature, so that you will all be encouraged to not take it way too seriously
and get in there and beat on each other and not clump up into massive
alliances or whatnot. So if after 30 updates, we don't have an accepted
win declaration, I'd say I post the final power report, and everyone gets
a ribbon based on their position on the power chart. Any comments?

> Announcement from Bully, (#7) dated Fri Dec 30 08:41:38 2005
I wish to stay with the original game plan, and end
it after 30 updates. I for one need a bot of a break.

WAHBIT'S NEW YEAR CHALLENGE

Empire is a game of attack and it is generally considered that offence
is the best form of attack.
Against a determined attack by a country which has expanded,
and has a strong economy, the smaller country usually has no chance
Hence the small tech countries usually pair themselves off with
Some players such as Mr Ed and Eleven have done this well
but to be honest Eleven would have had little chance
in fighting off a determined attack after his ally Mr Goat went under
in the last BBB game. Similarly Mr Ed only survived in EE9
because he was under the protection of Rook.

Well I went into this game to see whether a determined defender
can survice with limited expansion
As this game is going to finish in 4 updates I am inviting you
to attack Peaceman.

To make it easier for you, Bungy has removed fort fire. I have also not done
a des * e or des * f. I wll continue to build tech and intend
to remain the tech leader.

To top it off,

> Announcement from Peaceman, (#15) dated Sat Dec 31 19:19:51 2005
I will not be around after the next update, so there will be no active
resistance.

I am basically letting you know now to give you enough time to prepare
an attack.

So take up Wahbit and Bungy's New Year Challenge.
See how good you are at taking apart an established defence.
Admittedly not quite as established as I would like as I needed another
2 updates or so to be happy with it, but nonetheless, should be tough.
Test out your Empire skills!

See if you can sack my cap before the game ends!

Peaceman (Wahbit)

> Announcement from Peaceman, (#15) dated Sun Jan 01 22:22:15 2006
just in case any of you missed it
I am going to be away for the rest of the game
so there will be no active defence.

I am inviting you to see if you can sack my cap within the remaining updates.
Have fun!

Yes, tonight is the last update of BBB2. The final snapshot will be taken
24 hours later. I hope you all had fun, in this small map, and with the
tech log 5 and all and whatnot. Due to personal (domestic) issues, I'm
not allowed to "host" another game for like a month or two, so if you know
any deities, please encourage them to fire up the next game, and since I'm
not able to "host", I may get a chance to "play".

Your Deity,
Bungy

would have occurred at (during the 2 minute window).

Good game all.

Too bad that power is broken enough to give the top position
to CI when Bully is clearly the winner of this game. See
you all in another game sometime, maybe I'll have time to
play then.

I liked two things in this game setup,
void NA pacts and the short distance between islands.
Both made for plenty of action.

Thanks for hosting Doug.
