Brazil showed there sheer class and quality as they obliterated Costa Rica with a 2nd half rampant attack. A superb performance sees them winning 9 points from a possible 9. The skill and determination of the Brazilians was excellent, another superb performance from Ronaldo and his compatriots.

However, Costa Rica did play some excellent football in a exciting match and one performance stood out in particular, and that was Paulo Wanchope. He undid the Brazilians a few times, and played some great football in a thrilling encounter.

But the day belongs to the Brazilians as they progress in some style!
