It was dark before Lex and Chris got back to their building. "Do you suppose Jo is here?" asked Chris. "Probably, I just hope Luther isn't!" laughed Lex.

It was not all that dark, the clouds of the sky left small eerie patches of dark on the ground, it seemed very creepy to Chris. "Where'd all the damned animals go?" asked Lex at the site of the empty chains and capture gear. "Oh sh!t!" cried Chris staring at the empty Triceratops collar.    Jo was not there, nor Luther...

"What happened to them? They couldn't have got free!" shouted Chris. "No, they've been eaten clean out of their suspensions, look at the teeth marks on this one!" said Lex pointing to the half-chewed Pachy-head gear. "What did it?" asked Lex. "Probably Velociraptors, nobody eats cleaner then them, we shouldn't have been so foolish to leave them out," pointed out Chris. "I really want to get the hell out of this place!" shouted Lex. "We can if we want, we just need to get Jo!" exclaimed Chris. "Well, we can't wait here for her, I will go out and look for her. If I do not return in 5 day's I am dead. If I don't find her in 5 day's...she's dead," sadly said Lex. "You must be crazy, but I admire your courage," said Chris, "I shall stay here and boot up power, it is getting very bad...the lights are even out," spat out Chris. "Luther was cheap, wasn't he?" asked Lex. "Very!" yelled Chris.

"I am going to go get my favorite thing, my OWN bike!" shouted Lex. "It has never failed me and it never will," added Lex. "Okay, use this chain, lower it down," instructed Chris. Lex climbed on the roof of the building, it wasn't windy at all. He looked into the full moon and then he tied the chain on his bike very tightly, he couldn't let his precious fall!

Lex lowered down the bike and shifted his weight to one side. "Piece of cake!" he thought to himself. Chris stood below, waiting for the bike to reach his grasp. Ol' Betsy still sat in the drive-in part of the building.

With a job well done, Chris got the bike and safely put it on the ground. "I'll be right down, I just gotta change!" yelled down Lex. "Okay, I'll be right here! Don't be long, this darkness creeps me out!" said a frightened Chris. Lex gave a nod and went back inside.

After Lex got changed he came down and sat on his bike. "I want you to take this," said Chris, handing Lex a large weapon that was half the size of him. "Just what is that?" asked Lex at the sight of the gun. "It is an A deck weapon that could probably fit on the front of your bike. To fire it; use the button on the side...That simple!" explained Chris. "I have never seen one of these, thank you Chris!" excitedly said Lex. Chris and Lex fitted it on, it was a perfect fit! "Bryce designed it, good fellow he was," Chris told Lex. "Yes, he was very brave," added Lex.  Lex pushed off and started the ignition, first try! Lex started to drive, he waved goodbye. "God speed Lex, god speed," said Chris to himself.

Lex drove out of site, little did he know a giant creature was watching him from behind the safety of the building... Its eyes glowed in the pale moon-light.

The Tyrannosaurus caught up the cautious driving Lex. Lex quickly caught site of the huge beast. He reconized it as a Tyrannosaurus Rex, not like the kind he ever saw before... It was a lot bigger, huge! Lex noticed its gleaming yellow eyes, it reminded him of his dog Terk back at home. Lex quickly sped up, for all he knew, it was a threat to him. The Tyrannosaurus followed with drool dripping down its teeth. It was hungry...

In horror Lex sped up, it was chasing him now. Lex thought to himself...how could it be worse? A huge Tyrannosaurus stalking you at night... The Tyrannosaurus broke into a run, and let out a thundering roar into the silent night air. Lex devised a plan to avoid the Tyrannosaurus Rexes snarling jaws.

The Tyrannosaurus was catching up! It took huge paces! Lex turned its head to meet the Tyrannosaurus Rex face to face. A huge coldness went down Lex's spine. He felt the T'rex's hot, smelling breath on his neck. He then went off a small log on the ground. He almost lost control, but being a pro at motorcycling, he managed to straighten the handle bars and ride into the night.

Lex slammed on the breaks, he let the back wheel slide on the ground and whip around, he was now facing the Tyrannosaurus Rex running straight at him! It was very scary but Lex kept to his clever plan...

Lex quickly did a sharp turn which confused the large predator. His prey never did things like this before, what was different with this one? There was now a good 30 yards between Lex and the snarling jaws of the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Lex kept his lead but he was losing a few yards by the second... Lex spotted something up above, he couldn't make it out, it was just another dark figure in the night.... He didn't care what it was, he would rather encounter it head on then get eaten bye the Tyrannosaurus Rex.

As he raced closer he saw that it was a huge slanted rock! There was no time to turn around it, he decided to ride right up it. It was a stupid decision, he would go flying into the air, but he couldn't turn around it because this was at the tip of the forested Jungle. It would be way too hard to maneuver in the dark through tree's, even being a pro. The jump-like rock could also be sufficient...if he could land it...

The great biker braced himself, it would be one hell of a landing, especially in the jungle. As he drove up the smoothest part of the slant, the stars came to view in the night sky. He heard the foot steps thundering behind him.

The sound of wheels spinning filled the night air. Lex was flung into the air off the jump! The full moon reflected on the side of his helmet, so did the stars. He was very high, much higher then he had ever been. The Tyrannosaurus opened its mouth behind him, ready to catch the flying prey in its mouth. Lex felt the wind as he was in the air, he spotted the thick canopy of tree's ahead, this was going to be a very tough landing!

Lex landed smoothly, he landed on his back tire. So far so good thought Lex. He was too far back! He was going to tip! Lex shifted his weight forward, he was distracted by the Tyrannosaurus Rex's thundering roar behind him.

He put too much weight on the front! He was now too far forward, to make matter's worse he came across a small root which through him more of balance! He was grasping onto his handlebars with all his might.

Lex flung his body forward, he landed on the bike, there was much much more tree's and foliage then he expected.

Lex quickly ran matters through his head. There was no way he could maneuver through all the vegetation of the eerie jungle, no way...especially at night.

Lex did something he never thought he'd do. He leaped off his bike and let it fall on the scratching ground. He then let his instincts guide him to safety. He looked up and saw the best way to avoid those slashing jaws he feared so much. He jumped up and grabbed the nearest branch and started getting momentum by swinging back and forth.

He swung around the branch like a monkey, he was doing the impossible, he was actually scared. He let go of the branch and was hurled in the air by pure momentum. He set his course for the nearest tree truck, it was a good thing he had gloves on.

With great eye and hand co-ordination, he managed to grab the trunk of the nearest tree. He started shimmying up it like a little bear cub. It looked very hilarious to see a full grown man in a motor-biking suit to be crawling up a tree, but he had no choice, it was his only chance. ~CRUNCH~ Lex heard the Tyrannosaurus Rex entering the foliage, he was very close.

Lex squeezed through the tree top canopy. He then flung himself into the air again, this time right off the top of the tree. At that moment he left the top of the tree the Tyrannosaurus Rex's head burst through the canopy with jaws snapping. In the air Lex didn't see a very good target at all, except for a little tree with little canopy protection...He whipped out his arms and prepared to grab a hold of something.

Branches whipped at his face, but the helmet protected his head. Lex felt branch and quickly grappled his arms around it. With the result of pulling all his left arm muscles, he had survived the fall and was now a safe distance away, but not safe enough for a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex like the one he was encountering now.

To his surprise, the deadly predator retreated, he trotted away, in a wild rage. Lex sat on the tree out of breath, watching the thunder lizard march away. Lex was so delighted, he rested his head on the tree.

When Lex thought the time was safe enough, he slowly climbed down from the tree that had saved his life. He was going to retrieve his greatest friend, his motorcycle!

Lex walked down, he came across a set of huge foot prints, they were very big. Lex walked on, keeping on alert. He was very tired, it had been a long day.

Lex saw his overturned bike and sighed, "I hope there's not a scratch!" he said aloud. He picked up is bike and looked, a tiny scratch split across his gas tank. "Oh crap!!!" he yelled in rage.

He walked his bike through the thick tree's. He was glad he didn't try to ride through them!

He pushed and tugged on his bike time after time, digging it out of pothole and other various bumps.

He finally reached the clearing were the tree was, he gave a sigh of relief and pushed along.

He parked his bike at the side of the tree and climbed up the tree in a more manly manner.

He got on a lower branch, he didn't want to be on the ground, yet he didn't want to be too high up to fall down and get hurt. He dozed off, dreaming of home. He had a good sleep, that is...until morning.
